Overview

Most visitors to Iceland journey around the Golden Circle—the popular sightseeing route that includes Thingvellir National Park, Geysir, and Gullfoss. This guided tour from Reykjavík elevates the experience by adding visits to the Secret Lagoon (a less crowded alternative to the Blue Lagoon, which you visit early, when it is quietest) and lunch at Fridheimar Tomato Greenhouse. Traveling in a group of no more than 12 people ensures a more laid-back experience than some of the bigger tours.

Pickups start at 08:30am. Please be at your designated pick up point at this time. We pick up from the designated tourist bus pick up points in downtown Reykjavik, and certain hotels where it is permissible to drive a mini bus and pick up from. If you are in downtown Reykjavik we will likely need to use one of these pick up points. If you cannot see your hotel in the list then please choose from one of the designated meeting points (bus stops) in central Reykjavik.

  • Please inform us of where you are staying so we can let you know of the nearest designated pickup point is to meet you for pickup. Restrictions on buses in downtown area mean that we cant pickup from all hotels.

  • Not recommended for guests with mobility issues. It can be harder to get in and out of our buses, with some higher steps.

Fantastic trip - thank you Robert our tour guide

Brilliant experience, tour guide Robert was fab, so knowledgeable and he spent the whole trip sharing his tips, experience and answered everyone’s questions. Being a small bus was great and we did so much but never felt hurried or rushed. The secret lagoon was a lovely warm start, the tomato greenhouse was also warm with delicious food and that set us up for the geyser, waterfall and National park.

Highlight of our trip!

This was a great tour. Our tour guide Robert had great stories and facts about Iceland that really made the trip fun and interesting. After having a tour the day before that had a van with one more row of seats, it was nice being in the clean spacious Mercedes van. Going directly to the Secret lagoon was a wonderful start to the day. It was glorious! Clean, warm and water directly from the earth (no the power plant), proof is in the hot springs bubbling up around the pool. Going to the greenhouse was a pleasant surprise! Not sure how interesting a greenhouse would be, but seeing how they harnessed the earth's energy was fascinating! And the food was fantastic too! (desserts cooked in the terracotta are not to be missed, especially the cheesecake!). And don't forget to try some of the tomato drinks, and the bread? Off the charts! The national park was beautiful too! But what isn't in Iceland! Another thing I liked about this tour was the places weren't too far away from each other, so you weren't in the van for hours at a time. I would recommend this in a heartbeat! It was a highlight of our trip!

Magical trip in Iceland

The whole day was truly magical. Straightforward collection and off we went to the Secret Lagoon. We arrived early before the crowds and it was lovely, unbelievably warm water and great fun. The tomato farm was fascinating and the food was all really tasty. We also got to meet some Icelandic horses. It was amazing to see the Geyser in real life and the Waterfall is spectacular. We were lucky to catch a beautiful rainbow there. The icing on the cake to our wonderful day was our guide Robert. He was friendly and funny, and the journeys between the stopping points passed by so quickly with his stories and information. We learnt a lot about Iceland, and I loved his recommendation of the Icelandic composer Ólafur Arnalds. (Takk Robert!). The minibus was much more comfortable than we thought (as we are both tall people) and Robert was a careful driver. I cannot fault this trip at all. I would happily go on it again tomorrow if I could.

What a fabulous excursion this was! We booked this trip last minute and so glad that we did! We were lucky to travel in a small group and our tour guide's were super friendly and knowledgeable about the areas we visited. We would recommend this excursion to anybody visiting Iceland. The views of Gullfoss waterfall were out of this world, and the experience of having lunch at Fridheimar tomato restaurant will definitely be one to remember. 10/10!!

The Secret Lagoon was amazing, we went first thing and it was quiet and very warm. The food at the Tomatoe Farm was also amazing and the bread was lovely. The whole trip was a joy and I would definatley recommend.

We had an amazing experience. Fannar was our guide and he was fantastic. We loved his stories throughout the day. The Frioheimar Tomato Greenhouse lunch is a must!! The food is amazing and we enjoyed it very much. The tour itself and the experiences we enjoyed were definitely worth it. Seeing the Geyers, walking on the Eurasia tectonic plate and seeing the North American fisher are truly an opportunity to not miss.

A Great Venture out of the City

easy pick-up at the bus station. Sigrun Sol was a wonderful tour guide. Very knowledgeable, helpful, professional, and kind. Everyone on the tour was thrilled that the Secret Lagoon was the LAST stop on the long day's trip, rather than the first stop, as mentioned in the Tour details. Secret Lagoon would not be a good first stop at all. After a long day of sight-seeing, it is the ideal way to end the tour. Had plenty of time to eat at Fridheimar and did not feel rushed. Great place to eat. Had a good amount of time at the Geysir and Gulfoss as well. I feel like we could have had a better experience at Thingveiller and the tectonic plates. Didn't really get to absorb that all that much. Bus was clean and comfortable; WiFi. Not too many people on the tour, which was good...probably 12. Overall, for folks staying in Reykjavik, it is a great way to venture out of the city center and experience another wonderful location and iconic sites of Iceland.

It was a wonderful day, our guide Atli was extremely knowledgeable and shared the experience with us instead of just dropping us off and picking us up. We were a small group of 5, so it was very easy to get going after a hike. The secret lagoon is a must, natural and unspoiled. Go early as it gets busy around 11.

We booked two tours with Hidden Iceland and were very happy with both. Beginning with our first contact with him, the tour operator Aaron provided excellent timely communication regarding booking details and answering any questions. Our tour guide, Max, for the Golden Circle tour was amazing. He was so friendly, took such good care of the group, and was a wealth of interesting knowledge. We felt quite fortunate that this tour with Max was our first activity during our seven days in Iceland. The tour itself went far beyond the typical Golden Circle tour - the inclusion of a stop at the Secret Lagoon and lunch at the Fridheimar Tomato Greenhouse was such a bonus. We picked this company because it had wonderful reviews and offered a small group experience, and they did not disappoint. We greatly enjoyed the entire day and would highly recommend this tour.

Our tour guide was great, the waterfall incredible, the geyser and National Park we’re amazing. Early arrival at the Hidden Lagoon was brilliant because our group practically had it to ourselves and huge groups of folks were arriving when we were leaving. Eating lunch IN the tomato farm growing area was a relaxing and delicious experience. The tomato beer was delicious. Very good tour!

Great tour guide! Very friendly and shared excellent history and stories about Iceland along the way. The lagoon was relaxing and fascinating. The waterfalls and geyser were beautiful. The tomato farm was gorgeous and lunch was delicious.

The tomato lunch and tour was my favorite part. Our guide, Snorri was great. He did the circle the opposite way most people do it so we had very few people at the secret Lagoon. He was very laid-back and let us take her time everywhere we went. I really enjoyed hearing the His personal background which is so different from the United States

The trip was great, the fact that it's only small groups makes the experience all the better. Our guide Arna was great and explained many things to us, she was very friendly and it was truly pleasant to talk to her about everything. For the tour itself, everything went smoothly. The Secret Lagoon was not particularly crowded and was a really refreshing (so to say) way to begin the day. The break at the greenhouse was a nice one, especially if you like tomatoes. The various stops through the Golden Circle were really nice, the landscapes are of course breathtaking and all the explanations Arna gave made it all the more worthwhile! Thanks for such a great day!

Brilliant! I loved the whole day. Comfy bus, great timings to avoid the crowds at all the sites, superb guides Inky and Etle, etc etc. Really, it's the best way to see the Golden Circle.
