Had an amazing experience on this tour with Hidden Iceland. Maxim, the guide for the glacier hike is a gem! Goes out of his way to help and answer questions and even go into detail regarding the different landmarks.
Response from Host, Oct 2022
Thank you for the amazing review! Maxim really is one of the best guides in the country and clearly loves his job a lot. Glad you had such a wonderful time.

Golden Circle, Kerid Volcanic Crater, and Blue Lagoon Day Trip from Reykjavik
Jan_M, Apr 2022
Great tour! ****I have tried to upload my photos to this website for half hour but have not been successful. We were collected by our bus on time and then proceeded to the UNESCO heritage site at Thingvellir. The view from there is spectacular and the guide explained a bit about the area; history and geography. After this we visited the Geysir is Iceland’s famous geyser located along the Golden Circle in the Haukadalur Valley. Strokkur is the main attraction at the Geysir geothermal area, since Geysir all but stopped erupting. This spouting hot spring got formed in a big earthquake back in 1789 and was active until 1896. It erupts now with approximately an 8-minute interval some 25-35 m into the air. This is quite spectacular to see and we recorded some videos and took some great photos. We then got back on the bus and drove to Gullfoss where we shopped, and enjoyed the view of the tiered Cataract, (total height is 32 m). It has two falls, of which the longest drop is 21 meters tall. It is in the Hvitá River in the Southwestern part of Iceland. From there the road to Kerid Crater was very smooth. The Kerid volcano is thought to have formed when the magma in the center simply depleted itself, and the empty chamber beneath caved in. Regardless of the geological minutia that led to the lake’s creation, its bright rainbow of colors of the soil look unearthly. After that we got to spend three hours of bating in the blue lagoon. The natural hot spring is very fascinating and after a long day on the bus, the free drink and face mask was very welcome. We really enjoyed the tour. The guide, Nicola, was very warm and friendly and made a great effort to show us many interesting things and also was very entertaining.

Best thing I have done in Iceland! Our guide was extremely helpful and informative and made it a really fun trip whilst keeping us on time and everything running smoothly. This part of Iceland is stunning and the glacier hike was amazing. Our guide was great on explaining the geology of the area but also gave us lots of insight in to everyday life in Iceland. Highly recommended!
Response from Host, Aug 2021
Hi Victoria, So great to hear this was the best thing you did in Iceland! And we're happy to hear that you loved the guide too. Asgeir's knowledge and friendliness really adds so much to the tour. Come back any time.

This tour was the best of the ones...
luisgustavo.gonzalez, Mar 2018
This tour was the best of the ones we had in Iceland. Scott was very helpful even before we were in the tour as I requested him help to coordinate for a vegan meal on the night and b-day cake for my wife. We went to several places that are must seen in this area, one of the best things on first day was an additional waterfall that Scott included as there was no people as in the other places that were really crowded and had a small nice walk we had time to take pictures in all the stops. The place where we stayed on the night was good, didn't have to see it much as we arrived around 9 pm and left at 8.15 am, unfortunately we didn't see the northern lights that night. The glacier experience was amazing, is a long walk and hike but worth it for the view on the top. Overall it was a great experience and a good option if you like some adventure.
