Meeting And Pickup

Meeting point

  • Ingólfur Square
    Austurstræti 4 101, 101 Reykjavík, Iceland

We meet up at Ingolfstorg Square in the center of Reykjavik by the two stone high seat pillars (Over 2 meters high), The square is at the beginning of Austurstræti (Austurstræti 1) and is squared off by the streets Aðalstræti, Hafnarstræti, Veltusund, and Vallarstræti. If you walk down Laugavegur (The main shopping street) please just continue all the way down until you come to the square always walking straight down until you can't continue further. On the Ingolfur square itself, you can see Kvosin a small grocery market and finally Center Hotel Plaza. We recommend for people to use Google Maps or something similiar because the Icelandic street names can be tricky :).

End point

This activity ends back at the meeting point.

We went on our tour on Iceland's National Day which gave us an added bonus of seeing the President of Iceland, marching bands and other fun events, but would still recommend this tour any day!

Very friendly and knowledgeable guide. Effortless delivery and happy to answer any questions. A good way to get to know the city, a history of Iceland and get a few insider tips on places to visit throughout your stay. An added bonus was the guide took photos for us, meaning we did not have to subject our fingers to the harsh coldness of the day. Photos were also emailed directly to us and were very good.
Do it.

vjwolny, Mar 2023
Our guide, Snaesa, was very knowledgeable and informative. Enjoyed seeing Harpa Hall, Hallgrimskirkja church and learning about Jon Sigurdson, the "father of Iceland". It started to snow'; the atmosphere contributed to the cute stories of her younger years during Christmas season in Iceland. Would recommend the tour.
