    Enjoyable Tour
    Carol_C, Mar 2023
Our guide was pleasant and knowledgeable. He provided interesting commentary. Although there were several stops at different sites, there was a minimal amount of walking, which was great because I was using a cane this trip. I think the highlight was the Perlan, where my traveling companion and I decided to stay to see the planetarium show and the Ice Cave.
    Gome was AWESOME! :)

Gome (sounds like Gummy bear, this is what he said to us) was our guide and he was very knowledgeable and welcoming. Our tour was full of information and fun. He covered all the things that need to be talked about esp the history of Reykjavik. Will recommend to family and friends.

Our driver/guide Christina was very good & helpful in both her general information & in answering questions about the city.
    Exceptional

The young lady that did the tour on 2/22 was great! Very patient and gave great insight to Iceland. This is a great half day activity. We did this at the end of our stay here - I would recommend doing this at the start of the stay.
We missed the tour due to late arrival but ...

We were delayed getting off our cruise ship and the tour left without us. I had been in touch with their local number when we saw it was getting late. They contacted me later that day and arranged for us to take the tour 2 days later, no penalty, no hassle! That is going above and beyond in my book! The tour was very interesting, it gave us a great overview of Reykjavik, we heard interesting stories and the guide was well informed. The bus was spacious (not full), clean and very comfortable. I would highly recommend this on your first day to figure out where everything is!
    Don't be a sucker!!

As one can view, the picture posted is of absolutely NOTHING. That's because I received NOTHING. I had carefully planned my days in Iceland. This tour was to be the beginning of my Iceland experience. Unfortunately, they canceled my tour while I was en route to Iceland from the USA. The extremely short notice produced a gap in my itinerary that threw my whole schedule off. The reason for the cancelation on their end? "NOT enough interest or bookings for this day". They did refund my money, but obviously aren't enlightened enough to know that they should not request a review from a customer who was denied promised services. In conclusion, the concierge at my hotel also warned me to refrain from further bookings with Viator - especially if they utilize Greylines bus tours. Book at your own risk.
    Good

    Disappointing
    Charles_W, Jan 2023
They canceled my tour by email the day before which I never saw so I was left standing outside the hotel in the morning waiting on the tour bus....So I missed out on seeing a fair amount off the city
Well worth the money for overview of the city

Sites pointed out we would not have discovered on our own. Driver/guide was very friendly and informative.
    Awesome Highlights of Reykjavik!

It was the right amount of time for a day trip to explore the highlights of Reykjavik. Our tour guide was knowledgeable, friendly and helped us navigate. Highly recommend if you only have a few hours to explore!
    Informative city tour
    Ed_D, Aug 2022
Our tour guide Roman made the tour very interesting, providing info on Icelandic customs and life, as well as backstory on many of the sights. We especially enjoyed the beautiful cathedral and the concert hall. We were picked up on time and provided enough time at each stop to appreciate what we saw.
Tour guide was horrible! Barely said a word!
    vincentbhe76, Aug 2022
Our tour guide on August 12th was absolutely horrible. He didn't tell us his name, and he barely said a word. He was more of a driver than a guide. He just pointed things out, like "here's the harbor. Here's a statue. Here's the concert hall." Nothing about icelandic culture at all. Every time we made a stop I barely had any idea what we were stopping to see. And when we did stop to see something, he didn't even say anything. I wanted to ask for a refund.

The trip was cancelled by vendor and Viator still charged us and sent voucher. We waited for one hour and then called gray line who said it was cancelled and Viator knew. Still waiting for $
    Stood up by Grey Line
    Walter_S, Jul 2022
Grey line tour driver never picked us. Then the couple he couldn't find us and called my cell phone several times. I had zero calls to my cell phone and was at the correct pickup place much earlier than told. Grey line would it give me my money back. Very disappointed with the.
    Great tour!

My daughter and I enjoyed the 3 hour city tour. Dede, our driver and guide was the best! She had a great sense of humor and was very knowledgeable on the history of the sights. My 12 year old daughter even enjoyed the tour!
    Enjoyed Reykjavik
    Beth_S, Jul 2022
Saw similar things that we saw in n earlier tour with our cruise line. Thought there would be more to see in Reykjavik...but it was a 4 hour tour.

Excellent tour guides for both tours that we had in Iceland last week. Both the itineraries and the quality of guides exceeded our expectations!
Great Way to see Reykavik, especially in poor weather or if you have poor mobility
    Amy_F, Jun 2022
I really enjoyed my bus tour of Reykjavik. Our bus driver/tour guide was knowledgeable, interesting, and amusing. I have limited mobility, and the tour and operator were very accommodating to load my folding manual wheelchair into the back of the bus and pull it out at the places I chose to disembark. There *are*, however, three steps onto the bus and no lift, so this is not an accessible outing for non-ambulatory wheelchair users. For me, this was a perfect way to get to see Reykjavik; I was able to see large portions of the city despite the fact that I cannot walk far, nor can I push my chair up the hills of the city. Our guide had great history, stories, details, and information, and I really was fascinated by and enjoyed learning about the history, politics, and culture of both Reykjavik and Iceland. I do wish I had chosen to pull my wheelchair out of the bus and stay longer at the Hallgrimskirkja, but it was my choice to walk and, thus, it limited my time there...but it did mean I got to go back with the bus. Really great experience, and a great way to get a glimpse of what one might wish to go back and look at more closely.
    Well worth the money

An amazing tour, and definitely worth the money. Our guide Roman was brilliant, very knowledgeable and funny too. A good introduction so all the main sites in reykjavik area. Didn't feel rushed. A really great afternoon.
