Lifetime experience

Great fun! The kit was awesome and kept us dry and the warm van to get changed in was a bonus. The team were very attentive and take photos throughout. Great experience. Thanks all involved.
One of a kind experience
Elodie_D, Mar 2023
Wonderful time snorkelling in Silfra. It was truly a one of a kind experience I would recommend to do if you go to thingvellir. Our guide Johnathan was super fun and did an amazing job guiding us through all the steps. Attention you wait a bit before getting to the water so be prepared to be a little chill, but it worth the experience!
Wonderful!

Jonathan was our guide and he was wonderful!! I’ll never forget this experience!!! The cold truly wasn’t that bad, and the sights made you warm up immediately:)
Amazing

This was the coolest experience. Henry, our guide was funny and called the water “refreshing.” He helped make sure we stayed safe with checking that all of our seals to our suits were tight. This snorkeling experience was unlike any other. I would recommend this activity to anyone going to Iceland!
Really special experience and great support
Caroline_F, Feb 2023
This is a really special experience with beautiful views. Jake and JC made sure that we felt completely taken care of and knew exactly what was going on and why - thank you both! We are both quite tall, but there were 0 issues with finding sizes for anything. Lots of options and the team were super helpful. It's definitely cold before and in the water, but your 2 suits, gloves and hat keep you warm - I wouldn't recommend wearing a thermal top with a neck, as it adds to feeling quite choked. And I would recommend wearing thick leggings and 2 pairs of socks.
Snorkeling in the snow
Lacee_M, Feb 2023
This trip was awesome, but I will warn you not for the weak ! 😂 it was so cold outside that I contemplated not getting in the water, but very glad I did. It’s actually not too bad once you are in. Keep in mind I went in February! Lol
Fun way to start a day exploring the golden circle!
Matt_D, Feb 2023
We booked into a 11 am tour and it was the perfect start to a day of driving around the Golden Circle. The morning drive was short from Reykjavik, parking is easy with bathrooms nearby, and the tour operation works smoothly. They have vans for check in and changing into thermals and dry suits and then its a short walk to the starting point for the snorkel. We went on a day with snowy/rainy weather and the experience was still perfect - once your face is in the water it is crystal clear and beautiful. Highly recommend adding this stop to your self-driving tour of Iceland’s Golden Circle.
Super cool experience....

Super cool experience. Had a blast, and it was such a beautiful area to snorkel in. Our guide was also the best. Odysseus was very helpful, informative, and just great to hang around with. He is very good at his job. Thanks for the wonderful experience.
An experience like no other
Dhruv_S, Dec 2022
There is truly nothing like this. I have skydived before, but I never felt anxiety like this. But once you are in the water, you barely feel a thing. Henry was incredibly professional and accommodating. He led us through a memorable experience. Glacial water is truly something out of this world

It is very cold, but great! Make sure you google what a dry suit is, you are supposed to wear pants and socks underneath
Great experience!
Chris_G, Nov 2022
This was a lot of fun! I thought it would be too cold but your body gets used to it. The tour guides David and Paol were awesome. They helped us get set up and made me feel comfortable and safe during the whole experience. Would love to do it again!
Super unique and exciting experience!
Ciara_B, Sep 2022
This experience was so cool and unique! The water was the clearest water I'd ever snorkeled in, and it was thrilling to be swimming in the ice cold lake. Our guide Pau was awesome. He was really funny and friendly and made sure everyone in our group was comfortable the whole time. This was my first drysuit experience and it was really uncomfortable, but worth it to be able to snorkel in the lake.

Great trip

Great trip. Anna wad a great guide. Only problem was the flies but Anna made sure we gad fly nets for our heads.
Worth doing once. Here is some advice...
Jason_K, Jul 2022
Our snorkel guide David was excellent. He took good care of us leading up to, throughout, and after our adventure. NOTES: 1. There are a lot of gnats and they follow you. The company has some hats with nets around them; USE THEM. 2. There are no formal changing rooms (it's a big van to leave your clothes and bags in), but you also don't really need them if you come with the correct garments on in advance (we weren't given these details in the Viator or leading-up verbiage). Because you will be wearing a wet suit AND dry suit, you can wear a layer of thermals/underwear/swimsuit under and be fine. You may not want to wear jeans just in case water leaks in (which it can around the arms and neck), but otherwise you need not actually change into swimwear if you have a base layer that you're ok wearing under the suits. 3. The suits are pretty big and clunky. They are heavy and hard to move around in. Also, you will have belts around your neck to further prevent water seeping in, so comfort is going to be on the low end of the spectrum for most of your time while in them. 4. The water is cold. Your hands will get cold, your face will get numb; I sort of had brain freeze near the top of my head when I'd look up out of the water. It's cold. You don't have to kick your fins much because of the natural current, but you will have to walk to and from the start and end in the full suits, so keep that in mind. 5. There isn't much to see. No fish. Mostly rocks and long green algae. It's pretty and clear, but it's not like Hawaii or any place teaming with life. Despite all of the logistic challenges of the experience, I'd recommend it once because where else can you snorkel in glacier water between tectonic plates?
MUST SEE EXCURSION!
Alyssa_B, May 2022
A must see during your trip! Andreas was our tour guide and he was excellent. Very friendly, helpful with all questions, and knowledgeable. He even gave us additional recs for our trip. They made the process super easy! 10/10 recommend!
Father son bonding

This was a bucket list item for me. However, building a lifetime memory with my son made it all the more special.
