Epic Glacier Day with Julian

Amazing trip: glacier hike, fantastic scenery, icy water falls, black sand beach and authentic Iceland lamb soup. Trekking poles (our own) worked well. Our guide, Julian, was great! Epic day!

This was by far the best tour we did while in Iceland. Our guide was Michal, he was excellent! Knowledgeable, funny, and went above and beyond to provide the best experience for our group. I can’t say enough great things about Michal, and this tour.

Michal our guide was friendly, helpful, polite and most especially knowledgeable with the glaciers. He was very cautious for us non experience glacier hikers. We had an amazing and fun glacier hiking with him.

We had an amazing day out with Michal on the South Coast tour He was very knowledgeable and very passionate about the Icelandic landscape. The highlight was definitely the glacier hike. It was such a wonderful experience. Michal even managed to time it so that we did not coincide with crowds or other tour groups. Overall I'd highly recommend this tour to anyone and in particular Michal, who kept us safe and laughing all day long.

This whole trip was fantastic! Our guide, Lucas, was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly and seemed to know the perfect timing for each part of the tour. Absolutely loved the glacier hike and Selfoss - breathing beauty.

An amazing day. The hike was incredible. Our guide Luke was excellent, so knowledgeable. The stops were great. It would have been good to visit Vik but we ran out of time.

This tour was the standout highlight of our whole trip! The glacier hike was incredible and would be very manageable for most people. We were very lucky to have Michal as our tour guide who was brilliant all day, and even surprised us with the chance to abseil on the glacier which was incredible!

Julian was a great guide. He was super knowledgeable about all of the places and things we saw! The tour is well paced with time to eat and drink and use the bathroom. The glacier is stunning! Highly recommend.

Excellent. Vala our tour guide was brilliant throughout, and extremely knowledgeable on all subjects!. The Glacier hike was just fabulous. Took a while for me to trust the crampons as I have never worn them before, but Vala was patient and there was no pressure to race to the top! The colour and patterns of the ice, snow and ash are like pieces of art. The black sand beach was great, interesting to see the basalt columns and hear the story of the Trolls who turned to stone (now standing in the sea). The two Waterfalls were equally as spectacular. You can see where Tolkien got his ideas from. Scenery straight out of Lord of The Rings.

The experience was wonderful! it was with Trolls Expeditions and the guide was Ana from Germany and she was calm patient an expert and made the whole experience so fun i really cannot explain how breathtaking the views are and i’m glad about my trip. Would highly recommend!

WOW! What an amazing experience. Highly recommend this tour. Yandy was a great guide, climbing expert, and put our safety first. We got to the glacier early enough to experience the glacier with the best weather and light. We even saw a rainbow across the glacier. Yandy was very upbeat and energetic. Made sure we got breaks for photos, food/drink, and the restroom. Hiking a glacier is definitely a once-in-a-lifetime experience, so make sure to ask for Yandy because he puts your safety first and will optimize your time on the glacier.

The glacier tour is a unique experience, especially if it’s your first time in Iceland. It’s an easy hike and very manageable even if it’s raining. Our Cuban guide Jandi (he is a free lancer but during our hike he is with with Holiday Tours), is very knowledgeable and took care of us. He made sure our gears are well put together. Unlike the other group which I noticed their gears were loose and not properly done. In our team, Jandi really made sure everyone is well equipped.

Wow… what a day. The highlight for us was the glacier hike. No words can describe how magical this was. I’ve never seen something so beautiful. It’s a experience not to be missed. Ive done some amazing things in life but this is up there at the top. The waterfalls were nice… black sand beach was amazing to experience. The food at the black sand beach was 10/10. The host Kuba was a ray of light… funny, informative, knowledgeable & charming.

What an amazing day. So many different variations in the landscape it is just incredible. The glacier hike was a must do. Its not a long hike but as it is of course ice and not flat I was quite anxious at first. It was so worth it. Our guide Joel ( I think thats his name its been a few weeks since we took the tour) made sure we were safe and all our gear attached correctly. These glaciers are receding so get in now and do it while you can. The scenery and experience amazing. Wear good hiking shoes, joggers are not suitable. Which others soon found out. The waterfalls the Black sand beach, what can I say. This part of the world is truly incredible. A must do in Iceland.
