Pickup details

Pickups start at 08:30am. Please be at your designated pick up point at this time. We pick up from the designated tourist bus pick up points in downtown Reykjavik, and certain hotels where it is permissible to drive a mini bus and pick up from. If you are in downtown Reykjavik we will likely need to use one of these pick up points. If you cannot see your hotel in the list then please choose from one of the designated meeting points (bus stops) in central Reykjavik.

  • Sturdy, waterproof footwear recommended
  • We have to pick up from designated pickup point around Reykjavik. Restrictions imposed by the City of Reykjavik mean that we cannot pick up from certain hotels or AirBnB addresses, rather nearby designated bus pickup points. Please contact us to inform us of where you are staying and we will inform you of nearest pickup point.
  • Near public transportation
  • We will stop in the south coast town of Hvolsvöllur to load up on snacks for the day. You can shop here and bring food and for the day if you want to spend more time at the sights during lunch. There is ample time to have lunch at The Soup Company located within the Icelandic Lava Show premises. The soups are filling and delicious, as are the paninis and sandwiches here.
  • Most travelers can participate
  • During the darkest winter months we will need to order food to have on the go, so that we can use the precious short daylight hours at the wonderful South Coast sights. Lunch is not included in this tour.
  • This tour/activity will have a maximum of 12 travelers

  • For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.

  • Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.

We were pampered with care and attentions! 4 from our family plus another couple in this group, we were accompanied by TWO tour guides, a pleasant surprise to me. Amazing trip and Max was a fantastic guide. Both waterfalls, beach and glacier were incredible. Lava show was superb. I would highly recommend this trip. Along with the golden circle tour this is a must see if you visit Iceland.

This tour was just incredible from start to finish. Simon, our guide/driver was informative, knowledgeable and excellent. Iceland's scenery is amazing and this tour to the South Coast certainly hits all the spots, especially with Simon's hidden extras with outstanding panoramic views, and the extended walk to the very edge of the glacier. There was an overwhelming feeling of "the customer matters" throughout helping us all to get the best out of the full day. (Finishing at 9pm) Thoroughly recommended

My parents and I have a wonderful day, Our tour guide was called atil, he was very good had lots of information about everything we saw loved when people asked questions, all the places we visited were lovely Atil was very good at making sure we was safe when the weather got windy on the beach and took us down the the glacier and made sure we got as close as we could which was lovely. If its a windy day make sure you wear warm clothing! The lava show was very interesting and you can have soup there which is delicious. The van was nice to travel in comfy. We couldn't have asked for a better day!

Edith our guide and driver was amazing and so knowledgeable! I would 100% recommend this tour. We were picked up in a clean Mercedes van and it was a small group. We could not have asked for a better day, better weather, better experience, culture. We were even lucky enough to be in town for a real volcanic eruption.

We had the best time on this tour. Our guide, Helgi, really made the day incredible. He was so friendly, warm, patient and interesting. The sights seen were incredible, I particularly enjoyed the waterfall you could walk behind! I would highly recommend this tour!

South Coast experience a must

We loved this tour. It was a long day, but filled with so many exciting things to see that the time passed by so quickly. Hengi was so knowledgeable and provided information about Iceland the entire day. The sprinter was clean and comfortable and we enjoyed being with a small group and having the opportunity to get to know people from all over the world. We stopped for lunch at the volcano show and it was delicious! We asked Hengi about this small waterfall near a larger one we went to that you can walk into and he incorporated into it our day. I highly recommend this experience.

Max did an amazing job as our guide. He was informative and helpful. We had a wonderful time exploring waterfalls, lava and glaciers. Max made sure that everyone was happy and safe. The lunch at the lava show was delicious too. I highly recommend this tour!
