Wear a waterproof coat and you'll be fine) and the famous black sand beaches and rock formations in the cliffs AND GLACIERS!
Far safer on a large coach than hiring a car it was pretty windy but was told this is the norm here Thanks also to Magic our coach driver.
You gotta try this if you have limited time in Iceland so it is not wasted.

Wonderful experience 1st time and magnificent views of waterfalls, mountains, & black sand beach with caves! The best part was our tour guide "Ana" who made our bus ride experience more memorable with her storytelling, singing and bird calling.

Our Icelandic Adventure continued with the South Iceland Glaciers, Waterfalls and Black Sands Beach tour ..... The tour didn't get off to a great start as my daughter and I ended up being seperated on the main coach - i was at the back and my daughter sat next to someone at the front! Which kinda ruined the initial start of the tour- luckily the girl sat next to my daughter offered to swap seats with me so we could be together and enjoy the experience. The stops and sights visited on the tour were amazing but we didn't have enough time to explore each properly, this was due to people constantly being late back to the coach at the beginning reducing the time for each visit. Overall the tour was amazing, the sights visited were breathtaking and the tour guide was very informative at each stop and kept us amused with folk tales about Iceland especially the Trolls and Elves.

The tour was provided by Bus Travel Iceland. The sights were amazing, however time management was a bit of an issue - our guide Josip seemed quite tense at the idea of people being late back to the bus. In situations like this it would help if the clock inside the bus showed the correct time to enable people to synchronise watches. Even though we were not among the latecomers, it still created an air of tension. It seemed like they tried to pack too many things in one tour, so time was tight. The Golden Circle tour we did the next day with the same company was much smoother and more relaxed.

Great way to see another side of Iceland

Great part of Iceland to see but quite a ways from Reikjavik. This tour picked us up at our hotel, took us to all the hot spots in Southern Iceland. We took a few tours this week but this by far was the best. Our tour guide Monika made it great. Told different stories, played music and made the 10hr day fly by!!!

Brindis the tour guide and Michel the driver were both great. Brindis provided pertinent, amusing, and interesting information about all the areas we visited. The bus was comfortable, I could hear well, and had wifi on board.

Alan (so), our tour guide, was wonderful! 10 out of 10 stars for him! My only complaint was that the bus was old, with no bathroom, charging ports or wifi. We spent half of our time at each stop waiting in line for the bathroom, so each stop felt rushed, even more than usual. Also, with no way to charge my phone, photos were limited to conserve battery life at the last few stops. What t us 2023, I feel like these should be standard on a 10 hour day trip. The sites were amazing and fun. Alan was the highlight, for sure. Thank you, Alan!

We enjoyed visiting the glacier and the Vík village with black sand beach the most. Our guide Monika was great, very informative, friendly and funny. This was our second tour with Monika and we absolutely love her. The tour was longer than the Golden Circle tour as the distances between places were longer. We had the perfect weather with clear blue sky and the sunny a whole day.

A bit of a slow start due to the doors not working on the coach so had to swap buses, however the delay did not stop us from seeing all the sites with enough time to explore. Monica our guide was very informative at each location and on the drive through surrounding areas. She even walk us to the glacier and spoken in detail about them and ensured every was safe.

Well organised with excellent tour guide. Visited two waterfalls, glacier and black sand beach which was really dramatic with huge waves. Plenty of stops for food and toilet breaks and good drop of service at the end of the day.

Had an amazing day. Tour guide was phenomenal and had a ton of knowledge on not only the sites but of Iceland. This would have been 5 stars except I think there should be an age requirement for children. There was a 2 year old on the bus that was clearly sick (coughing) and the parents would left him sleeping the bus. It is no fault of the tour guide or the child but for future tours maybe requiring the age being at least 5. A 2 year old does not enjoy the trip and caused more work on the guide and members of the bus trying to cheer him up.
