IMPORTANT: The pickup starts at 8:00am and usually takes place between 8:00 and 8:30am. So please be ready at 8:00 at your pickup location. Look for the silver Sprinter with our ,,Back to Iceland travel '' logo on it. NOTE: Please note that Back to Iceland travel offers free pickup and drop off from hotels within Reykjavik. As buses are not allowed to drive in certain areas of Reykjavik center, your pick up may be from the nearest BUS STOP #. If you do not mark a hotel or BUS STOP# for pickup, the default pickup place is BUS STOP #8. If your pick-up location is not on our pick-up list then we kindly ask you to locate the closest pick-up point( Hotel or BUS STOP #) to your accommodation from the map or list below and meet us there for your tour. One –two days before tour we will notify you of your exact pick up location and we will tell you all update info if need to know. We also do pickups from the following BUS STOPS : #1, #3, #4,#5, #6, #8, #9, #12,#13 and #15 in Reykjavik, since some hotels are located within traffic restricted areas.

  • For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
  • If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
  • Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
  • Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
  • This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.

Small group tour was perfect!

The small ground tour around Southern Iceland including our 4 people and one other couple. I was like a private tour. Chris, our guide, was wonderful! He took very good care of us and stopped for bathroom stops, food. He asked if we wanted to see another waterfall and it turned out to be the most beautiful one we saw on our trip. He had many stories to tell on the ride too. We would recommend this tour.

Very good guide, very knowledgeable, Picked you up at stated times and good communication before hand. Vehicle was very warm and clean, the guide couldn't do enough to make the trip fun. Would highly recommend this trip to anybody thinking of a tour. Well worth the 5 stars!
Great South Coast Day Trip

From start to finish this day trip was exceptional. My wife and I travel alot and this day trip was full of great activities. Our driver was great and full of knowledge. He allowed us to call the shots on the trip as it how long we wanted at each activity, when we wanted to stop for breaks and extra time at lunch. I would highly recommend this travel co and this day trip.

If you find yourself reading reviews trying to find the best your company to book your Iceland trips with look no further! The weather can be very unpredictable in Iceland causing plans to change suddenly. We had booked the South Coast tour and Golden Circle tour via Back to Iceland tour company. Thankfully Back to Iceland were very accommodating and changed our tours around to different days so that we were still able to do both. We had tour guide Antanas for both trips. A great guide - funny, informative, flexible with time if able. There was the odd snowy blizzard (with very poor visibility on the roads!) during our trips and we always felt safe thanks to Antanas’ experienced driving. He was also prepared with crampons and ponchos should they be required. The tour itself is quite long approx 9 hours but we enjoyed every minute! Thank you 😊

Anton was a great guide. He gave us a lot of information about the places that we were visiting and Iceland in general. We were the only people in the group and he gave us a private tour without extra charge The places that we visited are breathtaking and probably the best things to see in Iceland

Excellent experience with Anton who was very nice and knowledgeable. He brought crampons for us to use and be safe. He was funny. It was a small group and that gave us more time to ask questions and explore the different places he was showing us ( so many and so hard to pronounce that I couldn’t remember the names but awesome places). Highly recommended.

Thank you Anton. Tour is excellent and always safety first! Iceland on a winter can have weather that changes dramatically. Our tour guide driver made sure that we get there and back safe. Since we were the only ones signed up for the tour on a Monday morning, we had a private tour with Anton. He was very informative, full of facts and stories. We saw several different waterfalls, the black sand beach, and a glacier, as well as several small towns. It was a long, enjoyable day! We'd recommend Anton--he was a great tour guide.

Very good tour. Sounds a long tour but time flew with all the amazing sites. Tour guide was very knowledgable, kind, flexible, and gave lots of tips. The bus was immaculate with USB ports to charge your phone and Wifi. We had a small group who all spoke English and fantastic weather which was helpful. This was our favourite tour of the trip.

We loved this tour. our guide Anton was brilliant, he really went out of his way to personalise it and look after us. The minibus was really clean and comfortable. The stops got more amazing as the day went on with the waterfalls getting bigger each time. The Black sand beach and the glacier were also amazing too. A great day!

Amazing tour and tourguide! Anton knew everything about Iceland and gave us amazing stories and information. He took us to amazing places and was fully prepared for any weather condition (brought ponchos and crampons for our safety and comfort). All around amazing, I want to come again and use his services for all tours!
