Sabine was an excellent host to our small group of six. Pick up was exactly on time and both sites were worth visiting. We arrived at Corcovado shortly after the 8am opening so didn’t experience and entry delays.

Must-Visit Sites But Be Careful When You Book

This tour was more about providing transportation than a deep dive into the two sites. We made the mistake of booking on a weekend in high season. Bad traffic so the bus came an hour late to pick us up and the lines were so long we never made it to Sugar Loaf. About half our group wound up taking taxis back to our hotels.

This half day trip is perfect if you don't have a lot of time to spare in Rio. The guide Peter was charming funny and knowledgeable. We left early and beat the crowds to Christ the redeemer. Sugarloaf mountain was another stunning location.

Sabine ( hope the spelling is correct) was a fantastic guide, she was very easy to understand, and extremely knowledge and factual. The angel ( the driver)that kept us safe was really lovely, we are disabled but he made sure that we could get in and off the bus very easily. We did the 4 hr trip which was long enough for us, we saw everything that was advertised, and Sabine insured that at both venues we were allowed to use the disabled lifts. So if you are thinking of booking but like us have limited mobility, we had no issues at all. I would recommend this tour and if you are as lucky as we were to have Sabine as your tour guide you won't go wrong..

Don’t do this tour on a Sunday!

We took this tour on a Sunday, which we do not recommend. In short, the traffic was terrible and the main sites were mobbed. Complicating matters, our guide made a stop to pickup or drop off something, so we were in heavy traffic almost one hour just for that.

We enjoyed the tour very much. I definitely recommend to take this earlier tour as the sites are very busy later on and this is one of the few that get there early. This company does all day tours that just extended on from this one but we were only able to book this morning tour on Viator. The van was comfortable, and our guide was knowledgeable, but it would have been nice to have more guiding at the actual sites to understand more what we were seeing.
