Unbalanced Time

Good history of the Colosseum, but too much of the tour was taken up there which left very little time fit the Forum. We totally missed Palestine Hill.

PG was well versed in Roman history and very articulate. He was also fun to be with throwing in good anecdotes to drive his points. He covered a lot of ground both geographically and intellectually. He answered all questions and was honest with answers. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and he deserved every bit of the rounds of applause we gave him after the tour.

Your tour guide makes the tour great or makes it boring…we hit the jackpot with Paolo!! We were a group of 8 maybe 10, I can’t reneged, but he remembered all of our names…Paolo had lots of information to share, was engaging, had a few jokes, and included the younger kids whenever he could. Not only was he excited to share this incredible place with us, but he has a great speaking voice that we could clearly understand everything he was saying, in any language (mainly English to our group) Would recommend Paolo for a tour anytime!

We had a wonderful time with Frederica. She was wonderfully knowledgeable and able to answer questions about the sites we were seeing. I would advise to book an early morning tour, when we got there, we practically had the place to ourselves. Really loved our time here.

Won't refund with 24 hours phone notice

Accidentally booked wrong date because of platform's confusing setup. Called 24 hours before scheduled trip, representative refused to refund the fee even though I was leaving country and couldn't reschedule. Said it had to be cancelled by email, not phone. I didn't have internet access. She said in effect 'tough luck'

We were lucky to have a small group (8) and our guide was very knowledgeable and engaging. The only negative experience was that the entire group had to wait 15 min for a couple who showed up late. The tour still ended as scheduled so we all lost 15 min. Viator should have a rule to allow only 5 .min Grace period, otherwise it is unfair to the rest of the group who showed up on time.
