A great way to see the Colosseum

The night tour is a great way to see the Colosseum. The guide was extremely knowledgeable and it was great to be able to see the Colosseum without all the crowds. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone who is really interested in the history of the Colosseum.

The tour was wonderful and Renata was a great guide. She was personable, knowledgeable and really made the experience fun. And it was lovely to see the Colosseum at night with fewer people and cooler temperatures. I would recommend it.

I must’ve accidentally booked this 3+hr tour instead of the shorter version. Our guide was sweet & thorough and We learned a lot but after a long hot day, the last thing we needed was a 3 mile tour. My kids were exhausted. Read the details before booking. It would be better if it started at The Colosseum so one can see the details of the arena before sunset. Looks magnificent from the outside but very dark inside. 7:30 tour started at 8. Didn’t get home until 11pm

Please note that we have many tours options and since all tours are described, depending on weather, requirements, desires etc you can choose the one that is fit for you as a person. So, for example, if you feel like you do not with to walk then simply book a visit to the Colosseum without Ancient Rome. Aside from this, you also have the option of leaving a tour whenever you wish or rescheduling if so you desire. This tour involves an aperitif and it is specifically designed for those who wish to experience the colosseum by night but there are other options for those looking or a different experience.

Evening Roman Forum and Colloseum Tour

Our guide was Azuria and she was amazing! She was very knowledgable about each place she took us to. I enjoyed that this tour was different than the other Colosseum/Roman Forum tour we had taken during the day. This tour started with the places around/near the Forum then, viewed the Forum from the top of the hill. We stopped for photos and she took the time to do photos for each group. The access to the Colosseum at night was the best!! No people around but us and maybe one other tour group. The access to below the Colosseum was amazing with a view of a reproduction of a lift used to take animals/people up through the trap door. We also had time on the floor of the Colosseum, but it was pretty dark by then to get any good photos of that.

Night time Forum and Colosseum tour

Matteo was our tour guide for the first two hours walking the streets of Rome and the Forum. He was amazing! Entertaining and knowledgeable. The night time Colosseum tour was cool but our guide was ‘meh’.

Exceptional guide, a tad too long

This tour is highly recommended to beat the crowds! It is informative and personal with our tour guide being friendly, informative, easy to understand and enjoyable. If you want to learn history and many interesting details about the city, you will come away with a wealth of knowledge. They served pizza, snacks and drinks prior to the tour, which was classy and all the personnel were very friendly. Group size was just right, however 3 hours is simply too long, especially after a day of going around the city. 2 hours for a reduced cost would probably be a better choice for most casual visitors. Otherwise is was a great tour seeing the Forum, Palatine Hill and Colosseum all at twilight / dark. Wished the Colosseum basement was more exciting / accessible, but that would be the same with any tour. 4.5 out of 5 stars, definitely worth your energy.
