    Colosseum Tour departs from our office located on Via Frangipane, 30. Option 1: To reach our office take the metro line B and get off at Cavour station. If you take the exit with the stairs you will be on Via Cavour. Walking down on Via Cavour, after a few minutes you need to turn left on Via degli Annabaldi. Still a few minutes walking and the first alley on you right end side is your destination: Via Frangipane 30. Option 2: If you get off at Colosseo Stop , outside the metro take the right hand side and walk down Via dei Fori Imperiali (direction Venice square) after 5 minutes walk you will see on the right a little alley with an arch and this is via Frangipane 30. Our office is in a little square located opposite a restaurant.

  • Colosseums' Rules:No Permitted Sharps objects, liquids glass bottle, Drones, selfie-sticks parfumes & spray. Allow Plastic bottle water The tour runs in any weather conditions.
  • ID Card/Passport is a must for Colosseum access
  • Please be aware that to enter the Colosseum it is necessary to pass a metal detector security check; although skip the line tickets are included, there may be some wait time to pass through security checks
  • Operates in all weather conditions, please dress appropriately
  • Please note: if you arrive late you might lose the entrance or a part of the tour
  • Please note: the order of the itinerary might change. It is possible that you will visit first the Roman Forum and then the Colosseum
  • The meeting time can be subject of a slight change. In this case we will call/text you in advance.
  • Please note that due to uneven surfaces, this tour is not suitable for any persons with disabilities.

Be aware that the tour is a little longer than most so bring water and a snack :) (we spent 3.5 hours but that might have been due to the bathroom break lines being so long).
Recommend you allow extra time in case the tour runs late.
Small means small - not 29 not 24 - more like 10 or 12!

Our guide Laura was fabulous! Really made the Roman Forum and Colosseum come to life. I really liked how Laura had drawings of how things looked back in ancient times so that we gained a deeper understanding of what we were seeing. Totally recommend!

The tour we went on was really insightful and incredibly interesting. Our guide was very knowledgeable, friendly and patient. He was able to answer any questions that we had and also spend some extra time making sure we were able to take everything in. When we entered the colosseum, he offered to take photos of each group/couple there, which I thought was a really nice thing to do. I would highly recommend this tour. Its definitely worth the money we paid for it!

An Excellent Presentation

Our guide, Dennis, is highly knowledgeable about the culture of the Ancient Romans, but what stood out to us was the interesting and dramatic way in which he described what we were witnessing. His presentation made it possible to imagine the roar of 70,000 spectators in the Colosseum witnessing bloody gladiatorial contests, fights among wild animals, and other gruesome forms of entertainment. He also give a vivid picture of the lives of the people in the Forum.

This was a wonderful tour. Our guide kept stopping and asking us to imagine ourselves in Ancient Rome. It really made it come to life for us. I would highly recommend this tour.

Tour was delayed 1/2 hour which led to us being unable to visit everything in the Forum. Guide was very informative, when you could understand him. While his English was very good, he spoke extremely fast and his microphone kept sliding down and between that and the wind the static was annoying- if you kept close to him and heard his voice directly it was good.

Guide was knowledgeable and engaging, but the combination of a foreign accent and less than stellar sound quality in the receiver and earpiece you use to listen to the guide resulted in me understanding about 25% of the guide’s information. The office has no bathrooms and the only nearby are pay toilets down the alley requiring you to stand in a 5 minute line at the bar to buy a one euro ticket and a 10 minute line to use the bathroom.

Paulo lead a wonderful walk through history. His knowledge backed by his architect mind shed light on the importance of the ancient ruins existence and how the buildings show the progression of history. Be aware it is hot and Paulo knows when his group is struggling and helps how he can. Excellent experience!

The only issue with our tour was they emailed to move the start time forward 30 mins then made us stand outside for 30 mins this is poor in 30 degrees but the guide was brilliant and very engaging

Our guide Lucy was great. Super knowledgeable and a good story teller with great analogies. Honestly, without the insights she provided, we would never have understood the building of Rome. A small group of about 15-18 - which was nice. Would say it was one of our top tours in Rome! If you do the coliseum, get a tour!
