Meet in front of the entrance to Vyta Roma Termini Café inside Termini train station. If you come in the entrance at the intersection of Via Marsala and Via Marghera, Vyta Roma Termini Café is the very first cafe on the righthand side. Your guide will be holding a Walks sign.

What To Expect

Make your way to the centrally-located Roma Termini railway station, where you meet your guide for an early morning departure.

The first stop of the day is Positano, a fishing town-turned resort that’s a favorite for celebrity beach vacations and romantic getaways. Get your bearings in the picture-perfect village on a guided tour, then enjoy free time in Positano: browse elegant boutiques, have leather sandals custom made by a local craftsman, visit a seaside café for lunch, or slip into the water for a swim.

Meet back up with the group, then board a boat for a ride down the coast to Amalfi town, passing along one of the most spectacular sections of the coast. Keep your camera out to capture views of soaring sea cliffs, then return to shore at Amalfi. Continue to a lemon orchard that’s perched high on a cliff above Amalfi, where you sample limoncello, a sweet, tangy liqueur made with locally-grown lemons.

Following the tasting, you have time to explore the town on your own before meeting back at the boat for the cruise to Salerno. Upon arrival in Salerno, board a high-speed train for the trip back to Rome, where this full-day tour concludes at the Roma Termini railway station.

Positano

Your first stop is Positano, a small fishing town that has long been the holiday destination of choice for VIPs, from the Romantic poets of the 19th century to today’s Hollywood stars. After an orientation walk with your guide you’ll have two hours of free time in which you can browse the boutiques filled with world-famous beachwear, have leather sandals made to fit your feet and/or enjoy a relaxing lunch of local delicacies at a seaside cafe. Don’t forget to bring your swimsuit too, there’s nothing nicer on a summer’s day than a dip in the sea.

Amalfi Coast

At Amalfi you’ll head up one of those cliffs to a lovely lemon orchard where you’ll enjoy a tasting of one of the region’s most beloved products, the sweet, tangy liqueur called limoncello. The farm is perched above the town and offers stunning views out to sea. After the tasting you’ll have an hour to explore the town and, if you enjoyed your tasting, buy some limoncello.

Excellent experience. Francesca was a lovely guide. Very friendly and organized. The trip as a whole was amazing. Very well worth the money and so easy! The train is very fast and even though it's a long day we never got tired.

We had the perfect day for this trip .... Sunny, 77F, and calm water. This was one of our favorite tours of the trip. Tons of great pictures. A train ride to Salerno with a boat ride to Amalfi and another boat ride to Positano. While in Amalfi, we toured a lemon farm. Lots of stairs but worth the climb. When at the top the view is spectacular. Treated to a shot of Limoncello and lemon cake. Positano was less interesting (little more commercial than Amalfi). Had a great lunch at a restaurant, Chez Black, near the water. I wish I had brought a bathing suit but was able to wade into the clear blue water. Our guide, Francesco, was great

This tour was well worth the whole day. To be able to have all the co-ordinating handled for a 12 hour trip from Rome to the Amalfi coast and back was wonderful. And our guide, John Paul was a real joy. He took such a personal interest in all of us that it really stands out in our minds. The scenery and time on the water are a lovely memory for us.

The most beautiful spots we have ever seen. The train ride was wonderful method to get to the coast but the boat rides were unbelievable. The scenery of the Coast is unbelievable. The stops in each of the towns were the highlight of our entire vacation. Maura the guide was the best. He was very informative and helpful. He even reserved a seaside table at a local restaurant.

Disappointed in Positano

I have been to the Amalfi coast before but have not been to Positano. I have been dreaming about visiting Positano for many years. Our guide Christiano was nice but did not offer a lot of knowledge especially in Positano. I always wanted to go to the top of the town and eat in one of those restaurants with a view. Our guide did not explain how to get up there and said I was unlikely to find a Taxi. When I saw stairs in town I thought that was the only way to get to the top. I could not climb 300 stairs and more after climbing 200 stairs to get to the Lemon Farm. Others thought that was the only way to get up as well and were walking up the stairs. Later, 2 women in my group told me they found a road behind the church and said it wasn’t difficult to walk on the road. They said there were taxis available as well. I am so disappointed that after years of dreaming about Positano I did not get to see it the way I wanted and I will probably not have a chance to return again.

Our tour guide Federico was wonderful. He was knowledgeable, entertaining and a great deal of fun to interact with. The tour itself was outstanding as well, with stunning views of the coast from the ferry that we were on. Starting in Salerno, we made stops in Amalfi and Positano where we had time to browse and have lunch.

The guide and bus driver were lovely and It was a nice day. That said, it was so disappointing that we didn’t get the boat rides — especially since the weather ended up being really nice. It was a very expensive day — if it had cost less I would give more stars.
