We encourage a swim on the beach in Positano during your free time should the weather be nice. If you are so inclined, please bring a bathing suit and towel.
Should any part of this tour be closed, we may need to make modifications to the itinerary.
During low season (November - March) most businesses including restaurants in Positano close, making the town a rather dull visit. During this time, we visit the town of Amalfi or Sorrento where ample choices for lunch and shopping abound.

Easy to work with. helped me out when I made a mistake with a tour date

We used them 4 times. Once to shuttle us from the cruise line port and then 3 different tours. They were short staffed for the shuttle, and we had to share, but they refunded almost 1/2 of the price. The tours were pricy but were everything they promised. I had reserved one tour for the wrong date, and they still worked it out where we could get most of our tour on the right day with no extra charge.

Very uncomfortable van ride

We had an excellent driver which was very reassuring as we were winding down the narrow roads of the Amalfi coast. We had 2 different tour guides, one was in the bus with us and one took us through the City of Pompeii. Both were good. However, the van was terribly uncomfortable. We were the last ones on the bus so we had to sit on the last bench seat across the back of the van. We felt every bump extremely hard. There were many, many bumps! After an hour I had a very bad headache and my back was super sore. Honestly, it put a damper on the whole experience as we spent a total of 8 hours driving in the van. The day started at 7:15 am and we were back around 8:30 pm.

Incredible experience to see Pompeii and the Almafi coast (specifically Positano) all in one day!!! Although a long day, it was definitely worth it. The guide on the bus and the second guide at Pompeii both were full of insight and knowledge. Without a doubt I would recommend this tour!! Absolutely worth every penny!!

Pompeii and Positano are wonderful. Having to stop at lousy and overpriced truck stop to and from Rome was awful. Why Viator would use such a terrible place to grab a coffee and pastry is beyond me, especially when there are other options. On the way back to Rome, the driver had to stop for gas even though he had two hours from the time left us off at Pompeii and came back to get us when our tour was over. We shouldn't have had to delay our trip back to Rome because he didn't plan ahead. Viator really needs to get its act together

Absolutely worth the experience! Had the best guides in Marcia and Paulo. They were informative but interesting; we wish they could show us all of Italy. Driving in Italy is no joke and our guy was skilled beyond compare!

This tour was fantastic. Best day of our trip so far despite the rain, hail, flash flooding and then sunshine. They say a tour guide can make or break a tour and ours were THE BEST. Anetonella, Fabio (Mattatheus.... sorry for spelling) and Anna at Pompeii were so passionate and made the day so memorable for us. Pompeii is fascinating and the drive to the Amalfi Coast & visit to Positano just bellissimo. My new life motto - carpe diem. Thank you Antonella & Fabio.

Anna was a wonderful tour guide! She was always very concerned about making sure every guest was accommodated. At times it was a little difficult to hear all the way in the back of the van with the road noise. The Pompeii guide was also FABULOUS. It was amazing how much information he conveyed in a short amount of time. It was a long day but it was well worth the $ and time.

Small group was a great choice, easier to keep track of everyone from one stop to another. Pompeii was amazing (for the second time) and their expert guide very knowledgeable. Amalfi Coast was lovely, and again the small group bus was able to go directly their without swopping from the coach to smaller busses half way there. well worth the trip

Inability to hear what was being said the entire trip even after the Microphone issues were fixed. The tour leader was nice but spoke too fast and too soft to be heard by most of the bus-we gave up after several times trying to say “louder please”. Between the air conditioning motor/fan and road noise plus buzzing of the microphone we heard 1/10th of what was being said. At Positano we were left behind when she took off before we were even off the bus and had no idea what the instructions were other than passing out a simplistic map. We missed all the history, pictures and stories in the entire trip. This part of the trip was frustrating and would have been nice to hear. 2/10 we wouldn’t do it again unfortunately. Pompeii was delightful!! Tour leader was an archeologist at the site and kept the group totally enchanted with the history-10/10 One person became ill and the tour leader handled it well. She also passed out water after the Pompeii tour which we were grateful for. All in all we would skip Positano and just do Pompeii. We left at 7:15 and returned at 8:15 PM-long day!

The guides and the driver were great. It did make a very long day for driving though so be prepared to travel more than be out of the bus but you do get to drive the iconic Amalfi Coast which is worth the added bus time. It’s also very comfortable, small and clean.

Cosimo did a fantastic job providing our group with lots of helpful information and details on our trip to the Amalfi Coast and Positano. It was an amazing trip. The trip to Pompeii was quite interesting as well, and we learned a great deal about this horrific tragedy. One piece of feedback we have is please use a less toxic deodorizing agent when cleaning the bus; the odors were very difficult to tolerate (these were the odors from the cleaning product itself).

Worth the experience with a very uncomfortable minibus sits.

Whole experience was good and liked the small group setting except the minibus sits. The minibus sits were very uncomfortable and it was extremely hard to sit for almost 10 hours. This is not the right kind of transportation for a long drive trip like this.
