During your tour you will discover the Galleries of the Maps, Galleries of Tapestries, Galleries of Candelabra and the Raphael Rooms and the Sistine Chapel. You will learn about Michelangelo & Raphael who have been working for the Pope Julius II in the 1500s, they have been rivals for many years, while Raphael was painting the Raphael Rooms next door there was Michelangelo painting the Ceiling of the Sistine Chapel with the Creation of Adam. Seeing the paintings and statues. Guide was obviously very passionate about everything but it was all a bit too much. Did not get guided to basilica properly so didn't see this. Very disappointed 😞

Cattle call ! SO disappointed in visiting the Vatican. Paying extra to "skip the line" really didn't matter much since we still there with hundreds of others. Our tour was supposed to start at 7:30 am but delayed till 8 am. We thought that would still be early enough, but no. We were jammed shoulder to shoulder into the museum rooms, where you really couldn't see much due to the volume of people. It was awful. I thought it would never end and we would never get out of there. A lot of money and time wasted. The only part we enjoyed was St Peters Basilica since it's huge and people were spread out. They should limit the number of people allowed in the Vatican museum and Sistene Chapel, but I guess since they make more money this way, they don't. Its not safe or enjoyable at all. I do NOT recommend visiting unless you come in the winter possibly. What a huge disappointment.
