Wow! This was easily in our top 3 experiences AND food that we had during our entire 2 week honeymoon in Venice, Slovenia, and Croatia! Mihael was so fun to talk to during the entire hunt and taught us so much about truffles, hunting them, and what goes into training the dogs. And getting the 4 course meal after the hunt was really something special, his Mom really knows how to cook and like I mentioned it was one of the absolute best meals we had on our honeymoon. Thank you both for the amazing company and hospitality!

Had a great time with Mihael and his adorable dogs Roxie, a beagle, and Sophie, an Italian water dog. The dogs were hilarious and wildly entertaining. Appreciate this day in the life of a truffle forager, and shadowing the job. We had a good day and found a few white truffles in just a couple of hours!

Our host Mijkl was very nice and informative. His dogs Lela, Mena, and Roxy were super friendly and hungry for truffles. We had fun scouring the forest for white truffles and Lela was able to find two of them. Overall it was a great experience. We opted for the 1.5 hour experience which is purely hunting for truffles and did not include truffle samples, but we did have a wonderful truffle lunch afterward in the medieval town of Modovun.

We had a great day with Mihal. I learnt a great deal about truffle hunting. Mihal and his family were welcoming and generous. We had an unforgettable lunch looking over the green rolling hills of Motovun. It is highly recommended for anyone who loves food and local culture.

We had a wonderful time truffle hunting. It was a bit muddy, but we were given water boots to wear. We did not find any truffles but it was still fun to see the dogs in action. The lunch afterward was delicious. The dessert was especially a highlight. Overall a great midday adventure in Motovun

I never write reviews, but I felt compelled to do so after our wonderful experience with Mihael and his mom! Our day was amazing from start to finish. We met Mihael and then followed him into the forest where we met his beautiful pups, Roxy, Nina and a new puppy who was in training. We then ventured into the forest on foot and followed the dogs as they followed their noses. We were lucky enough to find 5 or six black truffles and one white truffle. Mihael had to get to the dogs quickly as they would quickly gobble them up if he didn’t. After the hunt, he took us to his family home in Motovun where his mom prepared the most AMAZING truffle dishes!! I was blown away by their hospitality, the quality of the food and the beautiful views while we were eating. 10/10 recommend this tour!!

We had a wonderful time truffle hunting with Mihael. He had three lovely dogs that were adorable and it was amazing to watch them work to find the truffles along the little hike. We then got to go to Mihael's family's beautiful terrace where his mother prepared an amazing four-course lunch for us, each dish featuring truffles. It was a highlight of our trip.

To see the dogs working and the difference of black and white truffle hunting. The four course lunch with grappa and wine, homemade by Mikhael´s mum was done with love and a lot of truffles, excellent!
