There’s a difference between a guide and a driver

we thought we were getting a tour guide on our private tour, but what we really got was a driver who admittedly didn’t speak or understand English as well as we would have expected…he was nice enough and took good care of us, but we would have loved to have heard and learned more about the Amalfi Coast on our tour.

Our charming and entertaining driver, Giovanni, truly did take all the stress out of our trip. He was flexible with our itinerary requests, shared interesting stories and tidbits all along the route, and was gracious when we didn’t show up at the correct pick-up location.

This was the best way to experience the towns of Amalfi Coast in one day from Salerno. The driver let us customize our itinerary to where we wanted to stay the longest. From Salerno you will drive by all the towns when you start in Positano and on the way back, so we still got to see all of the ones we didn't go explore from the road which was nice. The driver dropped us off at a great location in the towns we did want to see and then we had free time to explore and eat. You need to be an expert driver to make this drive so we were so glad we had a professional taking us. It was a nice comfortable car with AC. So much more better than getting into a crammed bus and coordinating bus times and schedules! Definitely recommend to anyone wanting a stress free, efficient tour of the Amalfi Coast towns.

Our guide, Massimo, was wonderful. He gave us lots of history and insights into the area and very calmly navigated the many many tourist buses on the road. This is a great way to see this area, which even at the end of September was crawling with tourists.
