Our guide, Alex, was very knowledgeable about both the construction and history of the missions. The next day we visited the Alamo on our own. A guide wasn't necessary because we had been educated by Alex. Alex also had a very nice personality and it was obvious he enjoyed his work.

The guided tour of the missions was time very well-spent. Our guide Alex provided meaningful history and context for each of the missions we visited, combining deep knowledge of the subject with a sense of humor and the confidence of an experienced, long-time resident of the area. We were given an appropriate amount of time to explore each mission and emerged with a real respect for the people who settled there, as well as the enduring spirituality of each of the sites.

This is basically a $65 per person round trip Van ride with a little narration into a free entry mission site Just go on your own. Or drive have a 5 minute bland summary at the entrance of the first two and then you are on your own. Save your money

Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. It was like taking a tour with a friend. We learned a lot and got to see the history up close. It was nice to hear the audio history while we traveled from mission to mission. Set things up nicely for us to understand what we were seeing and our guide, Alex pointed out important items we might have missed if we were just looking around. I’d do it again!
