Elias is a great instructor and he was super motivating. He kept trying to teach us until we got it.
A great experience to see African animals so close in San Diego
Linsey_X, Aug 2023
I booked the ticket at Viator and paid $69. The ticket in the zoo booth is $71. It did not save me a lot . But it works fine and I just need them to scan the mobile ticket ( I can add them to my wallet and it is very convenient). I rode the Africa Tram ( included in the price) to see Giraffes, rhinos, elands, etc. There is also a wide life seeing truck for one hour. I paid $99 for it. That is great experience - to see them closer. I made the right purchase - I recommended you to buy the wild life tour. I am very happy that I came to the zoo safari and saw the Giraffes. They are beautiful, they like to go around. I saw them later drinking water from the pond.
Very wasted visit

Very unhappy with the safari park. Very disappointed in what little animals they had. If I would have been told this prior, I would have gone to the zoo. I didn’t expect to do so much walking n not being able to see many animals along the route. Not being able to see gorillas was the nuggets upset if the journey. I would definitely advise friends n family not to waste time n money going there.
Just ok

Park was just ok. The map of the park wasn’t super helpful in navigating, and trying to identify where to go. Not much shade either to find respite if a super hot day. With the price of the ticket and the cost of parking, would recommend going to the San Diego Zoo, and not the safari park.
Horrible experience - tickets do not work at park
Claudia_G, Jul 2023
The tickets did not work at the park, they were unrecognizable and we could not get in with them.
The manager was nice enough to give comp tickets since we came so far for the experience.

The zoo was the prettiest zoo I’ve ever seen!! The animals has so much room to roam. Their areas were clean and full of their favorites!!
Don't buy!
Shari_L, Jun 2023
Purchased these tickets through a third party. This was my first time in San Diego and was supposed to be our first experience at the safari!!! I spent money on a trip I could not experience because the address was not on the email confirmation! Our hotel was 34 minutes away, which was a $57 Uber ride, had I known I would have never purchased tickets. Complete waste of time.
It was a beautiful day
Jenny_W, Jun 2023
The tram ride to the enclosures was excellent but the 90 minute wait stressed out many people
Animals seemed well cared for
Park was very clean
Long wait all the way out to the highway
Many buses packed with children seemed to have many food options
Zoo Love!

Great Zoo Safari

Great park!

Spring break weather was perfect and there is a lot to do for free in the park. There are a few things you can do that looks really cool but it's quite expensive. You can spend the whole day there and have lots of fun.

It was the first time that we visited a zoo with my family and we hoped to have an unforgettable experience looking at many animals but unfortunately the few animals they had were asleep or hidden.
