Departure Point: Pier 39 Address: Dock F Directions: Arrive 15 minutes prior to your departure time or you might miss the boat. The boat does not wait for late shows. Go to Pier 39 Dock F gate and wait until the First Mate comes and takes you to the boat. Dock F is located on the east side of Pier 39 which is the same side as the Aquarium of the Bay. Walk down between the Aquarium and Hard Rock Cafe toward the boat until you get to Dock F. Dates: Daily Return point: Returns to original departure point

What To Expect

Meet your captain and first mate at Pier 39 in the early evening for a relaxing cruise on the San Francisco Bay. Get checked in and board the Privateer, your sailboat for the evening. The boat can carry 28 passengers total, so your group won’t be too big. Also, keep in mind you get to enjoy two beverages along the way.

Set sail and journey out past Alcatraz and Angel Island on the calm waters where you can catch awesome views of the Bay Bridge from your vantage point. Your peaceful voyage continues as you get closer to Marin and Sausalito. The green landscape of Marin County and picturesque view of the city of Sausalito look stunning under the illumination from the setting sun.

Next up, see the iconic Golden Gate Bridge with a lovely red-orange sunset in the background—a prime time for photo ops. As you head back towards Pier 39, which is where your boat ride will end, take a look at how the San Francisco waterfront begins to light up and sparkle. It’s the perfect ending to your night.

Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.

Great sunset cruise!

Our family of four had an amazing time on our cruise! Our captains were great - there is no set commentary, but they are happy to answer questions and give details about the places you pass along the way. I highly recommend!! Beautiful views along the Bay!!

The sunsetting on the Golden Gate was fantastic. The ocean breeze was brisk but enjoyable. The captain was great. Included free drinks and a blanket if you got cold.

There were many great things about this sail. The other passengers were very friendly, the weather was great and the generosity of the captain and his first mate was second to none. The captain was very willing to allow passengers to take the helm, a real treat for those who did, and the first mate shared great stories. We would highly recommend this adventure.

We sailed 9/11/2022- I was with my mom and sister. We loved every moment! Captain Michael and First Mate Adrian were terrific! Some points to mention- dress in layers as it is windy and chilly. If you’re prone to motion sickness consider taking dramamine prior to boarding as that water is choppy! The scenery is so beautiful and this was an amazing experience for all of us. We took some stunning pictures. I highly recommend it! We would do it again in a heartbeat!!!

It was a relaxing evening. We got a nice view of the Island of Alcatraz. We also experienced sailing. We were a little cold but they provided us with warm blankets.

My husband & I enjoyed this sunset sail. We were blessed with beautiful weather. The group was small. We were seated near the bow and had the side to ourselves so it felt like a private sail to us. The guides were low key and friendly. Though the waters got choppy at times, it added fun & adventure to our trip! We HIGHLY recommend this sail.
