    Departure Point: Pier 39, San Francisco Address: Dock F Directions: Arrive 15 minutes prior to your departure time or you might miss the boat.  The boat does not wait for late shows. Go to Pier 39 Dock F gate and wait until the First Mate comes and takes you to the boat.  Dock F is located on the east side of Pier 39 which is the same side as the Aquarium of the Bay.  Walk down between the Aquarium and Hard Rock Cafe toward the boat until you get to Dock F.

What To Expect

Make your own way to Pier 39 to meet your captain and first mate, and board the stately double-masted sailboat, which can hold up to 28 passengers.

After a safety briefing, your captain motors out of the marina. The crew raises the sails as your vessel reaches the open waters of San Francisco Bay. Keep your camera handy as you sail past Alcatraz Island and Angel Island. Take in a new perspective on the Bay Bridge, the rolling hills of Marin, and the waterside city of Sausalito. Get great photo ops as your captain steers parallel to the Golden Gate Bridge, then turn your gaze back to the San Francisco waterfront as your sailboat returns to Pier 39.

During the cruise, select two beverages to sip, choosing from beer, wine, soft drinks, or water. If you have any questions, feel free to ask the captain and crew, or simply relax and enjoy the sailing experience.

Amazing experience to sail the bay! Captain and first mate were wonderful. It was a beautiful afternoon and conditions were splendid. A great way to see the beauty of this area: Angel Island, Alcatraz Island and of course the skyline of San Francisco. We would go a thousand times again!

It was a nice sail around Alcatraz. Captain and staff were both very nice and accommodating. Recommended a great restaurant in a fun neighborhood.

It was up close and personal. With the exception of a few rough patches the sailing was smooth. The only negative was how cold it was which is out of the owner's control.

Booked the tour the day before and it was very convenient. Right off Pier 39 and the group was about 15 people total. My children and I had an amazing time sailing around the bay & the crew were super nice and helpful. We had a great time and would certainly do it again. Very much worth the $$

This is the perfect way to experience the beauty of the city of San Francisco from a different perspective. There is nothing like being on the water, sailing around Alcatraz, viewing Sausalito, Tiberon and the skyline of the city. Truly exceptional!!!

Sailing around in the Bay brought a whole other element to San Francisco we had never experienced before. It was a great adventure and highly recommend it for a spectacular way to experience the city. We even saw a dolphin!!!!

Down to earth, friendly and knowledgeable, Adrian, Caleb, and especially Jeff made the sail fun, enjoyable and stress free for my kids. Highly recommended. Back of the boat was great place to hang out.

Took my two 15 year old grandkids. It was very cold and windy. Thank goodness the tour guys had extra blankets and warm coats! With the windy conditions, the captain was able to get some serious lean on the boat. Surprisingly, my grandson was quite scared at the time, never having experienced sailing before. Captain Dave and first mate Brian were professional and took good care of us.

Hour an a half of meditation worthy joy with two very fine gentlemen who only wanted to make the trip special for us. Was so great passing cruise ships in the harbor and knowing they wish they were on our sailboat just enjoying the evening air with a very small group. The gentlemen took us very safely around the bay and provided us with blankets, drinks, and even offered music (but we refused, the quiet was far nicer for us!)... The guides truly know service with a smile and deserved a huge tip for giving us a great day. 11/10, would be lovely to sail with them again, although next time I suppose I'll get a boat and take them out.

Beautiful scenery but no information was provided during the tour. If you want to learn more about the sights you are looking at, this isn’t the tour for you. In addition, I would say it is not good for people with mobility issues as it can be difficult to get on the boat and it is very rocky throughout. The 2 drinks were nice.
