What To Expect

Make your way to the tour's departure point, 99 Jefferson Street in the Fisherman's Wharf area, at your chosen departure time. Tours are available at 6:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. year around, and 7:30 p.m. from April through October. Hand in your voucher and climb aboard the double-decker bus to find your perfect seat. Seats are on a first come, first served basis. 

Listen to live commentary about the City by the Bay as you take in the sights lit up at night. Drive through Fisherman's Wharf and make your way through Chinatown, the Financial District, the Embarcadero, and across the the Bay Bridge to Treasure Island. At the conclusion of the tour, you can catch a complimentary shuttle back to Union Square.

Your tour lasts 60-90 minutes depending on traffic.

Good volume on tour bus. Nicely presented information about the city. *BRING a jacket. The bus was fairly crowded but some passengers went in after the stop on Treasure Island.

We booked this from in the UK via friends who said it would be a good tour due to we only visited for one day via a cruise ship holiday. We was not disappointed and to be taken around the city, visited the well known Bob’s Doughnuts open 24/7 days a week 👍

This was a great tour. One thing: IT IS VERY WINDY AND COLD IF YOU ARE FROM A WARM CLIMATE. Really enjoyed the long sunset over SanFran in May.

The bus had is wait for 45 mins to board. When boarded, our audio on the seat wasnt working so we wasted our entire tour just sitting without any audio experience. There are no live tour guides so audio is what you need.

Everything is wonderful nice experience … But the bus should have a restroom its necessary because is to cold for some people and we need to use it at sometime the business place don't have either for their costumers we need a restroom somewhere close …..

On line said trip was 1 hour and started at 600. In route we found out that it started at 630. Once on the bus we found that the trip was 1 1/2 hours. The bus then broke down and we could not get our luggage as the place closed at 800 not happy

We had a blast on the double decker tour bus. My only complaints are that they need to change in their booking confirmations where the actual bus pick up is. It said we were supposed to check in pier 41 at the end of Powell st and no one was there. We were already running late, so you can imagine my stress levels rising at the possibility of disappointing my 10 relatives with me.

This tour is not at night. It is early evening. You do not see the city lights, mostly just blinding sunlight in your eyes. That was disappointing. The narration system only worked at a few seats. But you do get to see a lot of the city. It goes over the Oakland/Bay Bridge which is different.

Like many reviewers have mentioned, in March it is cold sitting in the upper deck. However, you get the best pictures up top too. Otherwise, it was a good tour. Enjoyed the audio explanations of the different sites around town. The employees didn’t interact with my group much, but it was still pretty good for the price.
