Great way to see it all, without being on someone else’s schedule. We appreciated Reed’s flexibility to go at our pace, and the blankets! We also learned a lot!

Had a fantastic time with Reed on this tour. He asks which sites that you most want to see and will be sure to drive by those in the tour. He peppers the tour with history and anecdotes of the history and geography of San Francisco. If you are interested in riding over the Golden Gate bridge…you must let him know. Even though you must pay extra for the bridge tolls, it is more than worth it for the thrill of to riding over the bridge on a sunny day!

Brilliant tour as we could see exactly what we wanted, and skip what we didn’t. We were able to see all the highlights and get a lot of interesting historical info from Reed, our guide - stuff that I haven’t seen in the guide books. Really knowledgeable and interesting.

This was our tour, not a pre made tour from a guide taking us to places that he/she thought we might want to see. Reed took us where we wanted to go and was able to to fit every site into the tour. Reed is outstanding!

The San Francisco Only a Few Get to Know!

Reed was on time, prepared and charming. We had visited SF before, so we were looking for the "next level" of experience. Reed did not disappoint. The convertible was comfortable and drew admiring stares from other tourists, the commentary was erudite, often eclectic and often humorous. In addition to the "normal" sights, we visited the wave organ, mosaic steps, Mission District street art, the Sutro Baths and the Hua Zang Si Buddhist temple. The view of SF is unparalleled from inside the convertible and the ability to navigate seamlessly through convoluted neighborhoods was amazing. If you want to get to know "the real" San Franscisco, we highly recommend seeing it with Reed.

I brought my mom to SF to celebrate her 70th bday. This was our first tour of the trip and Reed created a wonderful experience and tour for us. He gave recommendations on restaurants to which we tried one which was an excellent choice. Reed even followed up the tour by sending us information on SF and stated that we could texted him if needed as he wanted to ensure that we had a great experience visiting the city. Reed is a wonderful guide with loads of historical facts and tidbits throughout the wonderful 3 hour tour. Love that this was customized to our schedule and needs. We covered everything we wanted to see in San Francisco and now know what we want to go back to see in depth. Was great touring in his Cooper convertible even though was kinda chilly and overcast but he had warm blankets for us. Was able to zip around town easily and always stopped when we asked and also when he was pointing out something interesting and significant. Loved the tour and Reed! Highly recommend!!!

We wanted to see as much as possible and Reed I made our stay so much fun!! He is so full of knowledge and he was so happy to share it with me and my wife. He was so punctual and was not rushing us in any way. He was very interactive and made us feel welcome. He took many pictures of us and answers any questions we had during and after the tour. He made our experience in San Francisco worth it.

This was s last minute trip and tour! Reed picked me up from my hotel then dropped be back after the tour. I can't thank him enough! His knowledge of the area was incredible@ Nothing was too much for him. He stopped for photo opportunities whenever I asked.

I doubt if Webster’s Dictionary has enough adjectives to describe our time with Reed for our San Francisco tour. Reed makes you feel like a friend is picking you up for a ride around the city. His knowledge of San Francisco is that of a history major and you hear it all as you talk about the city during your drive. You keep wanting to hear more. Reed knows the city like the back of his hand & we allowed him to show it all to us & see it we did. There is no way I could of planned it better. After our time together the only regret was saying goodbye & thinking we definitely should of taken a longer tour. Thank you Reed for making our day with you so memorable.

Reed at Small Car Big Time Tours is stellar. I booked a tour to introduce my 16-year old son to a city I love dearly. Let me say that I have visited SF approximately 30 times before taking Reed’s tour. I thought he could give my son the lay of the land with a peppering of history and SF culture. It turns out that every single stop, I learned a ton, too! We both loved it. Now to start, my teen was going begrudgingly. He didn’t want to do “touristy stuff” as that embarrasses teens to NOT blend in. It turns out it was the highlight of his trip because it turned a city he enjoyed into a city that he fell in love with. Additionally, Reed encouraged us to text him later in our trip if we had a question. And we had a question the next day. We texted him and he got right back to us. THAT is stellar customer service (and I am a nation speaker on customer service so that should speak volumes). Also he is a great driver. With those hills and that traffic, that’s super important. A word about the price: it is not per person, it is per tour. It was WELL worth the $170 for two hours. Book your tour. It’s wonderful and definitely a highlight!
