Enjoy an insider overview of San Francisco on this excursion that includes a trip across the Golden Gate Bridge to the Muir Woods National Monument. What To Expect

Your tour begins at Fisherman's Wharf, where you meet your local guide and board your minibus. Over the course of the day, you get a look at the city's diverse neighborhoods and geography, stopping at several locations to take beautiful photos and learn about the history of the city and current events through the eyes of a local.

You will travel through North Beach, also known as Little Italy, where sidewalk cafes line busy streets. You will get to see the markets and souvenir shops of Chinatown; visit the art and landmarks where the Summer of Love began in the Haight-Ashbury; see the 'Painted Ladies' victorians, known for their appearance in the 'Full House' intro; and get a glimpse of Pacific Heights, one of the city's most affluent neighborhoods where large homes have excellent views of San Francisco Bay (the house from 'Mrs. Doubtfire' is also here), among others.

The adventure then continues across the Golden Gate Bridge to the picturesque enclave of Sausalito for a lunch break, before heading to Muir Woods National Monument, where you have an hour to stroll through the majestic forest of ancient redwood trees.

Your tour ends with return to your starting point at Fisherman's Wharf.

Great tour with just the right amount of hop-on, hop-off. Adam was very knowledgeable. I arrived late in an Uber from out of town, and the guides still made sure I joined the group.

One cannot visit SF and not see some of the powerhouse Coastal Redwoods at Muir Woods and a lunch in the former art colony of Sausalito, with its views of SF is priceless. Cannot recommend this tour enough! Patrick was phenomenal. Sasaulito timing was a little rushed so if you want to be there for longer I wouldn’t recommend.

Very low stress and fun way to see the main sites in San Francisco. The trip over the golden great was terrific and the leisurely hour plus walk through the woods, memorable. The guide was both quirky and professional, just the perfect combination.

Best Day in the Bay Area

We had an incredible day with Dylan’s Famous Tour! We got experience just about everything SAn Francisco and the Bay Area has to offer. From the city highlights, to walking in the woods with finishing off in the wine country. We had a great sit down lunch at the Girl and the Fig, and we visited a beautiful winery. This was hands down the best experience.

Too many things to remember about the tour. Muir woods was fantastic and so was all the little stop off points where our tour guide gave a brief history of some of the events.

What a wonderful day! Our guide, Tony, was amazing! He was charismatic, informative, and had the whole bus laughing while he drove us from site to site (and it was his birthday the day of our tour!). Muir Woods and the Palace of the Fine Arts were our personal highlights, but the whole tour is a can’t miss excursion! Thank you for a great day!

Good tour but overpriced

We did the small group tour through San Francisco, Muir wood and lunch a Saunsalito today. Tour guide was informed local and a funny guy. He had heaps of facts about San Francisco (and a bit of fiction). The tour was good- but not great. I think overpriced for the experience (we paid ~$240US for the two of us). It a good way to do a quick round up of the key local attractions and get some insights from a local guide. Approx 24 on the tour. Bus was comfortable, clean and air-conditioned. They were on time and everything went to schedule. The tour was approx 5hours (800am - 1:20pm) which included 1.5 hours free time at Muir Wood and 1 hour free time Lunch at Sausalito. Lunch and park fees ($15ea) not included. So you actually get about 2.5 hours of guided tour and the rest of the time to yourself.

Amazing experience with magical view points

This was my son and I first tour experience which was great, especially because we were in a van in a group of 8 which was more intimate group and this made it possible to go through Lombard street and many narrow streets of San Francisco. Palace of fine arts was so mesmerizing and peaceful, View points were breathtaking and unforgettable. The Muirwood walk/ hike was a very pleasant experience with a magical flow of peace, harmony and positive energy from Mother Nature. I strongly recommend this tour and your company to family and friends. You make lifetime memories and you deserve the best ratings for your truly hard working staff. Thank you 🙏

Viator “credit” scam

Wonderful trip but Viator offered a credit on the next booking, to be “credited at checkout”. I booked another trip and guess what, no credit!! And no way to contact Viator, other than through this platform. Beware of “credit” offers on follow up emails!!!
