Waste of time

The guest service agent was rude, aggressive and awful, they didn’t listen to me when I was talking, the GSA always talked over my mother and I and showed little to no respect. No, I didn’t book NY and no my name isn’t the one that was shown on the system. If only they had spent a few seconds listening to me….

Dissatisfaction

Half of the routes were closed. I had even asked the person at the front desk where he suggested I stop. He is suggested stops where the routes were close and never once told me they were closed. Also, I was not advised that we were supposed to use the headsets. The driver did not tell us the stops. I was confused and had no idea where we were. When I asked the driver when will we arrive at the painted ladies stop he said we passed it along time ago, although we never stopped because the routes were closed. I asked the driver how I was supposed to know where we were at. He said I should have the headsets. I told him I don’t have them, and all he did was shrug his shoulders. There were actual headsets in the bus, but he did not tell me about them.. when I arrived to the first stop I spoke to the manager Isaac and he told me he could not do anything for me because I purchase through Viator. Essentially I paid $170 for a stop at the Golden Gate Bridge. I am very disappointed and would like someone to contact me for a refund.

Awesome tour! My family and I had a great time, especially at the Golden Gate Bridge. The view was amazing!! I highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to tour the city.

I had some difficulty with decisions to hop off as stops are mainly UNMARKED! If you decide to use it, best is not to come off (wasn't that the whole point?) unless at Union main stop where Big Bus people assist -and just loop around. Buses are old and worn out, commentary is ok. It could have been better if intersections are marked on the maps we are given out. They are useless if you dont know where stop is. I spent two hours walking and trying to find the stop on Haight Ashburry, and almost missed the last bus. It is still nice to see SF this way, but experience could be improved, a lot.

The narration was boring and the driver didn’t announce the stops. Also, there was a lot of waiting around for busses and most of the stops didn’t look safe or appealing to get off. If you just want to drive around the city to get an overview then this might be a good choice for you, but if you actually wanted to learn about the city and explore several areas, this is a waste of money.

Too expensive snd too much waiting to see a few highlights of San Francisco. Buying the yo let’s online was very difficult. We had to spend almost a hour on the phone to get our tickets delivered to our email.

It takes you all over that place! BUT there is absolutely NO indication of drop off/pick up points. It's maddening! We were told that the city doesn't allow them to post signs... well then, they should be INCLUDED IN YOUR MAPS!

Unfortunately it was more of a get around town transportation the tour or audio had very little to say about the city there’s more music than dialogue on the headphones I’ve taken the hop on hop off before, and if it was my first time in San Francisco, I would’ve known nothing about the town

Great time. I highly recommend as you get too see a lot of the city’s landmarks and great towns. Got to travel the Golden gate, Ashbiry and Haight area, Fisherman’s Whatf and a whole lot more. Worth it!

The view from San Francisco from the bus is incredible, you can see almost everything included the golden Bridge, this tour takes more then 2 hours it’s enough to you see all points . The buss company are doing a great job . Driver is so responsible. Thanks to all personal work.

Great way to explore

The hop-on-hop-off way of exploring cities is great. It takes you through the most the famous tourist attractions and gives you freedom to spend as much or as little time as you want in each place. It takes away the stress of driving in an unfamiliar city and constantly checking the map. The open top allows to take all the photos and videos. We use this service wherever it's available. The only reason I'm taking one star off the rating is that the busses are old and there are no USB outlets to charge phones or cameras. Also, before pandemic there used to be a guide on each bus talking through the PA about the places we are passing, some history, and what's worth seeing. Now there are headphones and the drivers supposed to narrate, but they hardly do, except for what stop number is coming up. Overall, great way to explore.

ONE DAY - if that's all you have take this tour!! A bit of a crowd at 99 Jefferson St to validate tickets (prepay online) but the wait to board wasn't excessive. Employees were helpful and efficient. Tip: download the app for realtime bus tracking and highlights for everything you will see at 16 stops over 2 hours. If you ride on top, jackets are a must.
