San Francisco is a notoriously chilly city with micro-climates. It is best to wear/bring layers for all of our tours, even at the height of summer.
Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the tour departure time.
Parking surrounding the meeting point is extremely limited and can be expensive. It is best to use public transportation, taxi, or Uber/Lyft.
While we try to avoid extreme inclines and declines, due to San Francisco's hills as well as crowded city streets, guests with high mobility limitations or wheelchairs cannot be accommodated. Carriers in lieu of strollers are highly encouraged.
This tour is conducted in English only.

This is a full-day walking tour. While there are stops along the way, guests should be able to walk at a moderate pace without difficulty.
The Bay Cruise portion of this tour is audio guided. You will not have a live guide during this section of the tour.

The tour meeting time is 15 minutes prior to the tour start time. No refunds or re-bookings can be provided for late arrivals or no-shows after tour commencement or departure.

Christopher, our guide was absolutely the best! He gave us some history while still entertaining us. The tour was so much fun! He made us all feel welcomed. If your having doubts about this tour, put them out your mind! I would definitely go again.

Awesome Walking Tour

I highly recommend this tour. This well organized walking tour also included a cable ride, bus ride and Bay cruise. The majority of the walking was on flat land and going down hill. There was a short uphill area we walked that our entire group was able complete with no problem. Our tour guide, Maggie was awesome! She provided a wealth of information and made the tour fun for all.

The tour was falsely advertised the tour guide did NOT offer to take photos in any of the photo spots all she did was rush us. There was NO chocolate tasting at Ghirardelli and the entire tour all she said was it’s crowded, we’re pressed for time etc. the tour states take a trip on a cable car without the crowd also inaccurate that was rushed and crowded and we weren’t able to take pictures there either. Whole day was a waste of time on our limited days in San Francisco. We are having to Uber to places to take pictures today and spend more money because of this awful tour fail.

If you’re wondering which SF tour to do this is the one! It’s wayy better than being in a bus all day, so you feel like you’re really immersed in the city. Our tour guide Christopher was wonderful and has a wealth of knowledge about SF. It’s a walking tour but we never felt tired or behind from the group. Definitely recommend!

This was such a GREAT tour. It was just the right amount of walking. We were able to see so much, thanks to Maggie!! She has 20+ years of experience living here and she pointed out a lot of landmarks and gave us the history on everything. We got to experience riding the cable cars and the public buses. She is so interesting, very friendly, and even gave us a little gift of fortune cookies at the end of our tour!! Better than being on a tour bus the whole day!!

This was a great tour! The walking was nicely broken up with riding on a cable car, a trolley, a bus, and the bay cruise. We had a nice lunch break on the Italian North Shore. Maggie has lived in San Francisco for 27 years, and knew shortcuts and places only known to those who live in the city. I'm not sure what my favorite part was, but walking down "the crookedest street in the world" was fun. The fortune cookies were the best I've ever tasted! I bought the famous Ghirardelli Hot Fudge Sundae, and it was amazing! Maggie told us the best places to sit on the trolley car and bay cruise to get pics. I felt like I was in a different country while in Chinatown; so cool! Walking gave me a whole different and better perspective of everything that I didn't get the day before during a bus tour I took. Maggie encouraged us to take pictures and took pictures of us so we didn't need to always do selfies. The day flew by and was a whole lot of fun!

Great Walking Tour, See a Lot in 1 Day!

I read reviews for this tour prior to booking and saw that this was solely a walkign tour which I did not mind at all. The SF weather is usually pretty great, not too hot not too cold. Our tour group was pretty small and we were able to see a lot even though we were on foot most of the time. The cable car was also at the beginning of the tour but because of that we were able to get up some of the steeper hills without walking them. During our tour we stopped at a quite a number of sights as mentioned in the itinerary. The one stop skipped over was going inside Grace Cathedral due to COVID but we still had time to look around the building. For lunch there is a 1 hour break right between Chinatown and North Beach (Little Italy) so you can choose which neighborhood you'd like to have lunch in. By the time you get to Pier 39 at the end, you feel the day's walk and fortunately the tour ends with a beautiful Bay Cruise where you can sit for an hour and take in the gorgeous sights of the city from the water and sail under the Golden Gate Bridge. Definitely recommend if you're able to do this. There's one large section of hills that will need to be walked between North Beach and Lombard Street but overall it was doable for the average person. Plus, the tour guide is great at pacing to accomodate the entire group.

8 hours walking tour!!!

Our guide Christopher was fantastic but this was not a good tour. Should be more clear when selling it!! It is a walking tour -8 hours walking San Francisco streets and hills!! Not all the points of interest listed as included where visited. All churches were closed; were not able to visit any Chinese temple; not seen the Golden Gate, not able to go to the chocolate factory and many other. So, don’t take this tour if you want to see more of San Francisco on an air conditioned bus and in a more easy, enjoyable way

Thanks Melanie - yeah, we try to avoid all the steep hills in this rolling city! I mean, we do climb one fairly steep incline to get to Lombard Street (but we do think its worth it!)
