Unique and Fun!
Brianne_M, Jun 2021
Although it wasn't a good night to see the Bioluminescence (can't control the weather), we did get to experience them. Kayaking at night through unknown waters was an experience itself that I'll never forget. But, what really made it a great time were the guides Wesley, Carlos and John Michael - they were welcoming, made us laugh, and kept us alive! 😁
Great experience

Very easy experience. They picked us up from our house, plan on 2 hours before the start time. In total it was 6 hours from pickup to drop off. Bio bay doesn't look like the pictures on Google, whoever it is still cool because the water lights up a small amount while you paddle. Tour guides will drag you upstream if you need, so skill or strength at kayaking shouldn't be an issue. Overall worth going to while you're here. Tour guide was friendly.
Fun experience

It was a unique experience to see the bioluminescence glowing in the bay. We went on a night when the moon was bright, so we had to put a tarp over the boats to see the glow, but it was fun anyway. I loved kayaking through the mangroves and hearing the frogs and other sounds of nature. The guides we're knowledgeable and friendly. It was easy to keep up and follow our guide in the kayak, and they made sure no one was left behind. It helped that we had a little kayaking experience beforehand, but they gave good directions to the beginning kayakers too. The only suggestion I have is maybe allow more time for hotel pickup. We were the first ones picked up, and the driver even arrived 15 minutes earlier than he was scheduled to, but driving through San Juan traffic to all the other pickup locations took a long time- no fault of the driver- and we were later than scheduled getting to the boats. We finished and got back on the bus just before curfew.
Made the best of a bad weather day

After a rainy day we were concerned that the glowing on tour would be a bust - but our guides made sure we saw as much as possible. Great Job!!!!
