Due to the strict weight restriction all participants are subject to be weighted prior to beginning the tour. No cancellations or refunds will be issued if a person neglects to inform correct weight, and is not able to participate of the tour
Pregnant women, persons with recent surgeries, past injuries or back problems cannot participate on this tour. Bear in mind each participant must be capable of paddling on their own and will be sitting on the same position for about 2 hours.
Minimum age to participate is 7 years. Participants cannot be afraid of the dark as you will be kayaking thru pitch black areas.
You will get wet, it is recommended that you wear bathing suit underneath, bring a towel and extra clothes for after the tour.
At time of booking, Cruise ship passengers must provide the following information at time of booking: contact phone number or email, ship name, docking time, disembarkation time and re-boarding time. No refunds will be authorized due to failure to communicate correct information.
Meeting time: Times might change depending the season and your hotel location. If so we will contact you in advance.
Please Note: During the months of November, December and January, bioluminescence may be poor due to cooler temperatures.
The bio bay is an unpredictable natural phenomenon that may be influenced by multiple factors. Bioluminoscity level can vary from very visible to minimum or none without any previous notice. Full Moon phase may also affect the visibility of the bioluminescence. In the event of this happening alternate methods such as the use of a tarp will be incorporated in order to appreciate it.

This tour does not includes a stop to eat.
Please travel light and only bring the necessary to the tour. Leave behind electronic devices, any important documentation like passport, large sums of cash or credit cards. Cell phones require waterproof case. Bespoke Lifestyle Management will not be responsible for lost or stolen belongings. No luggage allowed on the buses.
Published starting time is only an estimate. Exact pick up time will be provided the DAY PRIOR to your tour.
Most travelers can participate
Bus will wait only 5 minutes after your assigned pick up time. No refunds will be issued if you miss your pick up.
Failure to provide correct weight or hotel/lodging/cruise information may result in bus not being able to pick you at your location or close to it. No refunds will be issued due to this.
Tours will NOT be cancelled if it’s raining. It is still safe and the water will still glow under the rain. If the tour needs to be cancelled for severe weather conditions the Company will contact the client.
Bespoke LM Reserves the Right of Admission - If a person appears to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs, not following COVID19 protocols or not dressed appropriately (due safety) the Guide has the right to Cancel their reservation at any moment, and No Refunds will be issued due to this.
Persons with the previously listed health restrictions cannot participate on the tour. No refunds will be authorized if a person neglects to read complete description and does not meet the safety requirements and limitations on the day of the tour.

Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.

The tour bus can be a little bit cleaner. The seatbelt smells. The kayak part is very unique experience cannot find anywhere else, but chaotic with other groups coming and getting back in total darkness.

I have done an excursion like this in Fajardo and had a wonderful experience, but this tour was the worst. Started out with a super early pick up when this tour is meant to be done when it is dark. Pick up was 3:40pm. We were taken to another bus to continue to pick up other guests as well, which made no sense. The second bus smelled and had wet seats from the previous tour. Once we arrived, we had to wait around until 630pm (sun still hadn't set) to actually start the briefing for the tour. We paddled out to the lagoon through very narrow mangroves. Once at the lagoon, we were told to kayak and have fun while the tour guides hung around by themselves. We were told they would call out to us when to return to where they were. WTH? When the sun finally set, they instructed us to paddle up to them, they tied all our kayaks together and asked to put a tarp over us to see the bioluminescence. Seriously? They blamed light pollution and storms for the inability to see without the tarp. Sorry but no. There was still light from the setting sun. This tour was too early for the type of experience. After the whole tarp thing, they told us to paddle back through strong currents. People were getting stuck left and right and there were no guides around to help you back after you got halfway through the mangroves. That is not ok. What made matters even worse was that we arrived back to their briefing point to see one of OUR guides giving another group instructions for their tour. He should have been out there helping us to get back. This tour is NOT worth $99 per person. I would not recommend. If you do this type of tour, wear long sleeves, pants and bug spray. I saw so many with horrible bug bites when we returned.

If you've never been kayaking Hopefully you're coordinated. It's requires that at the least. Or a good partner. Was fun. And the kayak path was need. It was interesting kayaking back in the door. But Def an experience. Don't ruin the experience and try and take pics at night. The flash is too bright. And you probably won't capture much anyways. The guides were great. Very nice and helpful!!

No stars! This is a scam. They weigh you and if a pound over they take your money and don’t allow you on the tour. A great way to rob you of your money legally. The tour is also only 2 hours not 6 hours as advertised. They are rude and very unprofessional with very poor customer support and service. Hate this company!

Hard work, fun, could be better

It was a fun activity, however two things could have made it better. 1. Lamps/lights for each kayak so you can see where you are going and dodge tree branches. 2. It would have been cool if the your guides have some sort of remote control mini sub or water agitators to trigger the bioluminescence. Both those things would make the journey to the lagoon and back better/safer and allow us to experience the phenomenon more.

Kayak was a mile each way. Was very congested with groups coming opposite direction through mangroves. 80 minute Kayak was fun. With traffic and logistics trip was 6 hours from condado. Bioluminescent is more faint than had thought and need water motion to see.

I'm 73 and my sister is 65 so I was a little hesitant to do this tour but I wanted to see the Bioluminescent phenomenon. I'm so glad we did! Our driver picked us up promptly at our hotel (AC Marriott) and bus ride was a little long but interesting. Once there, the staff helped everyone with life jackets and got us all into Kayaks. We did fine with the paddling but fell behind and there was another group following us. So they tied our kayak along with another one and pulled us thru the Mangrove river. The bioluminescence was apparent with the tarp over us and was so cool. I'm so glad we went!

Don’t Do This Tour Through Viator

When I booked this tour I called and had them put notes on my account that we were coming in on a cruise and I did not know if I would have cell phone service. Sure enough, no service. When we arrived in San Juan we promptly got off the ship and searched for these clowns for almost 45 minutes. After that I called VIATOR asking where they were. I was told they made multiple attempts to contact me and they came 15 minutes early. We weren’t there so they marked us as no shows and refused us a refund. Went back through my credit card company for paid services not rendered. I wonder how many other people they’ve tried to rip off in this fashion. Just don’t do it!!! Book local and bypass this Company. You will be much better off. If I could give zero stars I would.

Kayaking and stargazing was the best part. The bioluminescent water was barely visible - not at all what we expected. The organizers need to allow time to get food afterward. There are restaurants at the location but no time to eat. Or at an least stop for fast food.
