This was an amazing experience. The tour guide for the rain forest was very helpful and funny. He was very knowledgeable and made the tour very fun! The driver was also super nice too. He even picked us up early, which is very rare. He even dropped us off at our air b & b. We could probably have done without the beach but that is not necessarily their fault. The kayaking tour was also very fun! The tour guides were so nice and made the tour very fun as well! We went on a night where the moon was pretty bright so it was hard to see the bioluminescent in the bay but they brought a tarp so we were able to see them. It was very peaceful. I 10/10 recommend this it was pretty cheap and a great experience for both things that we wanted to do. Everyone was super nice and knowledgeable and funny!

Rafael was an excellent...
Sayda_X, May 2023
Rafael was an excellent tour guide, he was knowledgeable and great sense of humor. The rainforest part was beautiful, the water hole was our favorite. So tranquil and relaxing. We got to enjoy the Luqullio beach after eating some yummy food at the Luquillo kiosks. Bioluminescent Bay tour was great, our kayaking guide Emily was so nice and knowledgeable as well. The bay itself was beautiful but we didn’t get to see much of the bioluminescent part of it became the moon was too bright. She gave us a tent to put over ourselves which did help and we saw some but not much. Other than that it was an overall great day with so many great memories made. Would definitely go back and do it again!
Skip the beach, Tour company great and accommodating, do the rainforest and kayak separate
Barbara_C, Feb 2023
Tour company picked us up and dropped us off close to our hotel. They call to confirm the day before and 5 min before pickup. Rainforest was ok, we only saw some geckos, nice views and waterfall. It was ok to say you saw it. The kayak was fun and different going out at night but biolumenscence isn't what we expected, it was a few algae that you could see when you swirled your hand in the water. Maybe just do the bay in condado to have fun kayaking at night. The beach was terrible-maybe one of the dirtiest places I have ever been, I am not sure why this is on the tour. There are no bathrooms or places to change. The amount of trash all over is really disgusting.
Great trifecta, easier than DIY

Fun all day excursion. Two hours in the rainforest, 4hrs at the beach, and then two kayaking. Hike was very easy 45min with option to swim. Beach was beautiful and protected east swimming. Kayaking to bioluminescent bay was hilarious navigating in the dark (kept crashing into other kayakers) less experienced kayakers might find it tough but manageable and will likely spend some time in the trees. Seeing the water sparkle huddled under the tarp was short but interesting, and honesty the whole experience was enjoyable and the guides great.
The entire trio...

The entire trio experience was amazing and very accommodating for me as a solo traveler. I highly recommend it!
Not worth it - skip bio bay especially
Natalie_P, Apr 2022
We really loved our guide for the rain forest tour, which is why I'm giving this three stars. Had she not been so great, I would have given it less. Although they made all of the stops for the rain forest, the places they took us to were underwhelming. There were no rock slides or spectacular waterfalls. The bio bay kayaking was not worth it at all. It was a half moon, so we had to get under a tarp and there were so few bioluminescent organisms that it was even difficult to see them. Of course, as the guides said, they can't control nature but they know that any time but summer is not a good time to see the organisms (they explained that to us) and with a full or half moon (which it was). However, they are selling tickets to nature to see these things, so maybe they shouldn't run tours when it's hard to have the experience? We were truly disappointed and felt like we wasted a precious day of vacation.
Great tour

So much fun!

We had an amazing time visiting the rainforest, beach and bio bay. Our guides were fantastic!! I learned so many interesting facts about the culture and history of Puerto Rico

We had a really nice time paddling out to the bay in the Kayak. The area was cool to see. That is all I have to say.
Bio Bay Kayaking

The Guides were great. My son had a long week in the sun (before this trip). Near the end of the kayaking , my son had to stop because he felt ill. The guides tied his boat to theirs ,pulled him back to shore. Got him out of the boat and laid him down comfortably on the ground and attended to him for his every need. They took their time. They were very polite. Overall , very good experience.
I will do this experience again but not with this tour agency
Rosa_L, Jun 2021
Definitely know before you go. The tour guide and driver arrived late and do not communicate that. We were worried. The phone number provided for the tour agency in Puerto Rico: they do not answer regularly, sometimes they returned your call. The tour guide that took us to Yunque did not explain anything about it; he did not explain about the plan for the day until we asked. The Bioluminescent bay tour agency: I did not like, they were not careful about the group. This is a Kayaking in a dark area, you are more worried about not getting lost from the group than actually looking at the beautiful nature , my teen kids were scared. We hat to put a tent over us in order to see the luminescence which was beautiful but again, they just pass a tent without a real explanation of what to do. Other groups had better tour guidance. at the return, we followed another group that was explaining what to do while kayaking on the dark. I will do this again but not with this agency accesstour. DO IT BUT NOT WITH THIS AGENCY
Significantly different than the description

I had really high hopes for this tour. Both of our guides were fantastic, and the kayak experience on the bio bay was super cool. However, we were REALLY disappointed to have made only one stop in the rainforest. We took a short hike to a swimming hole for literally hours, and we didn't get to see the tower, the waterfall, or much of the actual rainforest. I'm not sure if the itinerary change were due to COVID restrictions, but there was no notice whatsoever; it wasn't even addressed. We were also promised photos and GoPro videos, and I'm bummed to not have received them a month later. If all the advertised stops in El Yunque had been included, I think this would have been an awesome tour (which is why I booked it!). But spending 2-3 hours at a swimming hole is not what I was after. The combo tour is great in theory because you can visit the rainforest and the bio bay all in one day, with transportation included, but I'd recommend looking elsewhere.
Not as described BUT great service and caring tour operators and guides.

Cons: - Rainforest stops not as described (made 1 stop to hike, not 4) - Was unprepared for a muddy strenuous hike (did not have hiking boots and had a foot injury that prevented me from enjoying this portion). Pros: - Tour guide, Raphael was one of the best guides I have ever had - Tour operator had great customer service and reached a fair resolution quickly after receiving my complaint Tips for this tour: - Bring hiking boots - Bring bug spray (the mosquitos at bio bay are no joke) ~~~~~~~~~~ So this tour was not as described. The details included 4 stops within the rainforest (a welcome center, waterfall photo opp, a tower/canopy view, and a lake to swim). The rainforest portion was actually only one stop and it was a hike through the muddy rainforest on rough terrain before a climb down to a lake to swim. Due to a stress fracture in my left foot, I was unable to complete the hike or get to the lake. The rainforest portion was completely lost on me while I waited on the bus for the others. So why the 4 stars? Our tour guide, Raphael was phenomenal. He went above and beyond to make sure I was okay. He made an extra trip along the hike to make sure I got back to the bus safely to wait for the others. Additionally, I followed up with the tour company after returning home to share my feedback and seek resolution. I spoke with Kasey who was very professional and courteous. She handled my complaint quickly and we came to what I felt was a fair resolution. As for the bioluminescence portion, this was as described. Though I do want to add that the glow was not as strong as we expected (but hey, thats nature and out of anyone's control). All in all, Puerto Rico Access Tours were professional and caring . They shared that they have rewritten the tour description and are awaiting viator to update on their end. I hope this is true. Aside from the miscommunication, this would have been a 5 star tour.
Not sure I would go again
David_D, May 2021
I’m not sure I enjoyed putting a plastic tarp over my head just to see a little bit of the lights. The rain forest was awesome with Raphael and Angel.
Minimal jungle exploring, dirty beach, great staff!
Jamie_T, May 2021
The rainforest portion is a 5 minute walk to a river that you swim in for 90 min, no hiking or exploring. Then you get shuttled to Luquillo beach to hang for 4 hours which was the dirtiest beach we have ever been to, trash all over the ground, like massive amounts. We had been in Puerto Rico for over a week at this point and seen many beautiful beaches and were seriously disappointed with the 4+ hour wait at this location. After that you get shuttled to the kayaking which was fun but a little lack luster, you all sit in a row of kayaks and put a huge tarp over everyone’s head and then squeeze your hand in between the kayaks into the water and swirl it around to get a glimpse of the bioluminescence for a few minutes, then kayak back. All in all a very long day and not worth the price. I will say all the staff were AMAZING and very friendly.
Awesome Yunque and bioluminescent kayaking tour!
Carlos_M, Apr 2021
We had a really great time at El Yunque, the beach and night kayaking, it was a great experience. Louis, Raphael and Michael were fantastic guides, kind, helpful, funny and informative. We recommend anyone coming to PR to check it out.
Must do!
Natalie_P, Apr 2021
This was such an amazing experience! The rainforest hike was beautiful and the swimming hole was so much fun! Be prepared to get muddy! The kayaking caused a lot of laughs and I was surprised you could cruelly see the glow!
Great Experience
Haydee_H, Apr 2021
This was a great experience! We booked this trip with friends and we kayaked at night and under the stars.
Great all day experience!
Madison_S, Apr 2021
It was not exactly as described, but was still super fun! Wear your swim suit all day and have a change of clothes and shoes to get mud on.
Must see
Aleema_S, Apr 2021
The tour guides were AMAZING!!! Louie and Raphael went above and beyond during the entire experience and even after! Louie was extremely knowledgeable and personable! I highly recommend this tour!
Awesomely amazing
Susan_L, Apr 2021
Everything was memorable from the home to the river and the rock jump to kayaking under the moon great
Go for the kayaking stay for the dinoflagellates
Joseph_O, Mar 2021
Definitely a fun experience! It was my first time kayaking so that was a little stressful but the team was supportive and ensures you stick with the group. Beware that the dinoflagellates are not as bright as the pictures make them out to be, but still a cool experience.
Misleading Description
Sanil_S, Mar 2021
The tour description was misleading. It description mentions that the expectation is that we stop at 4 different places in the rainforest. Instead we only went to one place with no waterfall or slide. The bio bay was also disappointing and I'd recommend going to mosquito bay in Vieques instead since you can barely see any bioluminescence in laguna grande even with the tarp they provide. The tour guides however we're really great and super friendly, just the description itself was misleading and that's disappointing since it takes up the whole day.
El uque was great the kayaking was not enjoyable at all
Tammy_W, Mar 2021
Jumping off the cliff and rope swing and Ryan our tour guide was fun and made the experience well worth it
MUST DO IN PR!!!
Erika_G, Mar 2021
Rafael was an awesome tour guide. This was a once-in-a-lifetime experience that everybody in Puerto Rico must do.
GREAT EXPERIENCE
Kayla_G, Feb 2021
This was such a wonderful experience! Definitely something I’ve never done before and the rainforest is absolutely stunning! Definitely takes some work to get to the waterfall, a lot of hiking and climbing but believe me when I say it is WORTH IT! Our tour guide Ryan was HILARIOUS! He made our experience 10x better and he was very personable with us all but still very professional. Book this service for a lifetime experience! The second part of our trip was the bioluminescence bay! Yet again, this experience did not disappoint! Be sure to book this service on a night there is little to no moon for best effects! However, if you’re unable to catch a moonless night, they do provide a tarp to cover your kayak boat so you can see the water glitter and shine! Be ware, this part does take place in the night and you will be kayaking back to shore in the DARK. The night skylight provides enough light so you can see, but it is still very dark. All in all my friends and I really enjoyed our day and this is an ALL DAY activity.
Amazing!
Alfredo_S, Jan 2021
Swimming in the rain forest to a pool of water! After leaving to get some food and then on to the kayaks. Literally a full day activity! Rafael and his partner were a huge help and very friendly. Make sure you get booked with Rafael!
Highly Recommend!!
Bryesha_R, Nov 2020
I enjoyed every second of this from the minute I entered the van! Alex and Ryan took us though the rainforest and provided fun facts and plenty tips! The food was amazing and later that night we explored the bio bay with Donatello and Talia! Everyone was in great spirits very up beat and seems to enjoy their job! I recommend bringing a few loose dollars to tip your guides, I assure you they’ll earn every cent!!!
Amazing and once in a lifetime
Tejash_P, Nov 2020
It was a great experience, would recommend. You can see the stars while you're in the water. Very surreal
Awesome
Christian_B, Jul 2020
Great time from beginning to end, when we were in the rainforest, my wife was getting dizzy and sick from all of the climbing but the guide was very patient and understanding with her, from the rainforest to the beach to the kayaking at night, everything was 🔥🔥🔥, i would definitely recommend
Bait & Switch Covid-19
Tekoa_S, Jun 2020
Unfortunately, the business ethic of this is particular company is highly questionable and deplorable. Mid June 2020 is when most businesses re-opened in Puerto Rico, but as soon as we landed here, the taxi driver informed us that the El Yunque Rainforest is closed. My fiance and I confirmed that on their website, however upon calling within the 24 window of cancellation, the company representative assured us once and again later that same day that they had things under control and that all the tour events would carry on as planned as if they had special access to the park with exception of the highest part. She said that was the only part that was closed. When we actually meet with the tour guide (who by the way spoke extremely broken English), he immediately told us that they would be driving us to beaches and rivers and later to kayak. NO MENTION, WHATSOEVER OF THE RAINFOREST. I questioned five minutes into the drive about going to the rainforest and he said, "Oh no, we won't.. It's closed" (Palm to forehead). Really?! Extremely unethical to lure tourists into paying full price for a significantly reduced tour. Anyone buying this wants to go to the rainforest. Everything else is a perk... But nothing without the main attraction. This was apart of a milestone birthday gift for my fiance. I would have been fine to cancel because the park was closed, but the representative lead us to believe in the experience that could not ever have been the quality of what's advertised.
