For Santurce/Ocean Park Area we offer Kasalta Bakery pick up on Mccleary Street. No Babies or Toddlers. Minimum age is 4 years and have to be in Car seats by Law. NO EXCEPTION. Our Guide will refuse to board without seat. Guests will be dropped off at the same Place they were picked up

What To Expect

Explore the only tropical rain forest in the United States National Forest system on this half-day trip. Discover the local flora including tree orchids, giant ferns, and wildflowers, as you venture to a camera-worthy collection of waterfalls and panoramic vistas in northeast Puerto Rico.

Start your day early with pickup from select hotels in San Juan. Then drive from San Juan to El Yunque, admiring the typical native towns and changing scenery as you ascend higher into the rainforest. This ecosystem is named after the ancient Indian spirit Yuquiyu, who was believed to have once reigned over all of Puerto Rico, protecting the island and its people.

Keep an eye out for any of the area’s wildlife and make your way past tree orchids, giant ferns, wildflowers, and tropical hardwood trees, and stop by La Coca Waterfall.

Then make your way back to San Juan, arriving back at your hotel in the early afternoon.

An amazing experience inside Puerto Rico's rainforest

Great Rainforest tour w/ Charles!!!

Charles was awesome. We were picked up at the Marriott Sterrlis Casino in San Juan and on the drive, he shared a lot of history of Puerto Rico. We visited 2 waterfalls, climbed the overlook tower, and went for a wonderful hike. This was about a 4 hour adventure. Well worth it. Make sure you wear your sneakers and expect mud and a little bit of incline. You’ll enjoy your time with Charles. He’s informative, attentive and made sure to stop for many bio breaks.

A must see visit to the rainforest...

This was a very informative visit to the rainforest. Our guide, Ramon, was extremely knowledgeable, not only about the rainforest, but Puerto Rico in general. The three stop in the rainforest were all different (watch tower, water falls, river). Ramon provided general information at each stop and answered individual questions from the group until all questions were answered. The only downside for the tour (which had nothing to do with the tour company or Ramon) was that parts of the rainforest remain closed after Hurricane Maria. If you are visiting San Juan or any other venue in northeastern Puerto Rico you need to take this tour.

The tour guide did an excellent job talking us to all of the popular spots in the rain forest. He was very knowledgeable regarding plants, but he took a little too long exploring flora in the parking lot before we even got started. I wish we could have spent a little more time hiking in the rain forest, instead of just driving from spot to spot.

El Yunque Rainforest experience

This was a average experience for us it actually was only a there hour trip. First, we llistened to a short film, unfortunately a group of guides were having a loud conversation near us so we didn't hear half of the movie. Our guide took us to an area in the El Yunque forest to see the river and surrounding foliage. The guide was very informative. We then drive up to the tower and saw the waterfall. It was a nice experience but expensive for what we did. We did not see any animals or birds, but did see a couple of butterflies. I would rent a car next time and actually take a hike.

You may see Lizards which are all over the Forest,.We do offer a Rainforest Tour with nature walk, which may have been a better choice for you. I am glad that the Guide was very informative.
