The experience was amazing. Hector was an amazing guide…..personable, knowledgeable, and resourceful. The food choices were perfect….a great reflection if what Puerto Rico has to offer. I would recommend this tour to anyone interested in finding the best of Old Town and PR cuisine.

Ricardo was very knowledgeable and I actually learned some new things, to be honest it was super fun, but not worth the money, and the last meal broke my heart, mofongo is my absolute favorite and at the last spot it was horrible, I'm so sorry to say, it tasted like cheap olive oil, it you have money to burn go ahead, otherwise you're better off walking and touring on your own
Pansita llena, Corazón contento :)

It was super fun! I appreciated the fact that we not only experienced eating amazing food, but we also got to learn about some history as well! Fabian, our tour guide, was fantastic!
Great time with generous portions

Love the experience

Ricardo was very personable, informative and knowledgeable. We had a great time on the food tour ( even in the torrential rain). The places we ate at were delicious especially the Mofongo.
Local Food with Excellent Guides!
Ginger_K, May 2023
Our family has been on many food tours but this one topped them all. Tons of food, history, and fun made this tour exceptional. We tried foods that were local and excellent. Making Mofongo was an added bonus. Our guides knew everything about the island and provided us many dining tips for the remaining week. Loved our group too!

Hello Brandom, thank you so much for your review!
Walking (& swimming) old San Juan.
Dennis_M, May 2023
“Swimming” through Old San Juan. Ricardo was an excellent guide. His welcoming personality was only exceeded by his abundant historical knowledge of Puerto Rico & the surrounding islands. Every food stop on this tour was delicious. The torrential rains that arrived during the second half of the tour only made the experience more memorable.
Response from Host, May 2023
You got it, we call it, the rains of May! Glad you were able to catch one in Old San Juan! Tropical Regards!
You will so happy you booked this tour!!!!

Six of us were on a cruise and decided to book this tour. While initially we thought it was a bit spendy, we all decided this was the best of the the three food tours we did on our stops. We even had people who had done the same food tour as us, in St. Thomas the day before, that agreed. Claudia was an exceptional guide. Her positive energy and enthusiasm really elevated the tour. Her knowledge of San Juan was extensive and the tour was well paced. We went to so many stops and had such a great assortment of food. We actually went back to the chocolate place after the tour to get chocolate martinis and try the desserts, even though we were stuffed. The ceviche stop was delicious and we had fun purchasing some local crafts at that place. We loved making mojitos and trying so many of the local cuisines. Claudia even celebrated our groups birthdays and anniversaries at the affogato stop, which was also amazing. We saw her leading the next tour after us and I am just in awe of her energ and zest for life. This was the highlight of our time in San Juan and we will definitely plan on coming back for a longer visit.

Thank you so much for this amazing review. As a small company, we value that you took the time to write these kinds words and highlighting Claudia! PS: Our guides in St. Thomas are fun too! ☺️ Stay Tropical! 🌞
Loved this food tour!
Jennifer_D, May 2023
We had a blast on this food tour. We learned a lot about the history of the city and the architecture of the buildings while also filling our bellies with delicious snacks and food. Definitely left with a “full stomach, happy heart” (quote learned on tour). One of my favorite parts was building our own mofongo from the main ingredients. Also, I went on this tour while pregnant and the company made all the required substitutions (mocktail, etc.). Others with food sensitivities were also accommodated. Out tour guide was amazing. Thank you Leslie!
Leslie is an excellent...
Joan_C, May 2023
Leslie is an excellent tour guide. The food was cold and should have been better quality for the cost of the tour.
Response from Host, May 2023
Hello Joan, Thank you for your feedback since we are always try to improve our experience. We are sorry you did not get the full Flavors experience, we always try to have the food ready and on time. Sorry this wasn't the case in your tour, sometimes we run a little bit late to restaurants and these things can happen. We hope you give us another try next time you visit the island. Stay Tropical! ☺️

Leslie Ann was such an amazing guide! We enjoyed her stories and her energy. The food was delicious and the coffee was one of the best I’ve tasted. We also learned how to make mufungo, and that was a treat!

Beautiful Old San Juan
Mirta_A, May 2023
Leslie our guide had an excellent selection of restaurants which allowed for a sense of local food. She was vibrant and full of energy. She also provided us w the historical aspects of all we were seeing and experiencing. She is definitely an asset to Viator. We were lucky to get her as our guide.
Much More Than Food
JEFF_B, May 2023
This delicious blend of food, culture, and history feeds the mind as well as the tummy. Nahiomy was an outstanding guide with a deep understanding of the timeline for the people of Puerto Rico and what foods and seasonings made it to today’s table. Her enthusiasm and energy kept it light and fun. It was a hot day for walking but she somehow managed to keep us in the shade most of the time. The delicious tastings included breakfast, lunch, and dinner and we were pleasantly stuffed at the end of the tour.

Good food, great company. Lots of information regarding the city. Good good portions that won’t leave you hungry.
I would definitely recommend this Old San Juan food tour!

Marjorie was an EXCELLENT tour guide with a great sense of humor and the pride she had as a native Puerto Rican was so evident. She brought the history of the island as well as its food to life. I learned so much and enjoyed every minute of this tour.
Great way to start your San Juan visit.
James_H, May 2023
Marjorie was a great tour guide. She has lots of knowledge about San Juan and each of the stops. We had plenty of good food to eat and always had cold water to drink at the stops. 10 am was the perfect time to beat the crowds to the best picture points. I would definitely recommend this tour when you first get to town. You'll have a good feel for the city before you go out on your own.
