Best guide for a solo good time!

Marjorie was the best guide, she gave lots of background info and tips. The tour itself was wonderful, it was nice to learn the backstory to Scryer Rum and have some good cocktails in new places. I absolutely recommend this tour for a great intro to San Juan's drink scene. I went solo and had such a good time, it was a great start to my trip.

fun time- great upbeat tour guide. Having only done food tours in the past that also included local drinks I prefer that over this. The first stop was a bourbon stop that was interesting then just two other stops- thought there would have been more stops.

Thoroughly enjoyed the Historical significance and perspective of the sites we visited, especially The Mezzanine. Enjoyed the tasting and history at Scryer also the craft cocktails at each of the stops. Ricardo was awesome, extremely knowledgeable and made the tour fun.

Would not recommend this tour!

For $90 per person this tour was a huge disappointment. Although our tour guide Hector was friendly, it was a waste of 2- 2-1/2 hours. Scryer was the Rum distillery. The owner gave us a personal history of how he started and we tried some 120 proof rums straight from the barrel. It would have been nice to taste them and then go inside the bar and have in a cocktail, neat, straight up, or however you like it. We were left with the burn and walked on lol. We then walked the cobble stone streets and went to two dive bars that we could have easily found on our own. The bartenders didn’t even acknowledge our group (we were a small tour of only 8 ppl). We waited up-to 15 minutes to have our pre selected cocktails made. At one bar, we were the only ones in there. No history of the establishments, just sit and wait for your drink and move on. Trust me save your $90 and walk off the beaten path and explore this beautiful town on your own. So much culture and history can be done without this tour.

Great rum experience in San Juan

Our tour guide, Fabian, was punctual, articulate, informative and fun. It was a beautiful night to walk around San Juan and experience some local rum drinks -- not your standard mojito and pina colada. We visited a relatively new rum distillery and then two locals bars. It was a really nice time and I would absolutely recommend it and even do the tour again when I return.

Our guide Corina was lovely and knowledgeable. Stop #1 was a rum tasting which we very much enjoyed. However, stops #2 and #3 led us to very, very loud bars where we could not hear a single word of description of our craft cocktail or about the history of the bars chosen as part of the tour. We definitely recommend selecting different locations for #2 and #3. Thank you.

You should absolutely do this tour! Our tour guide Itzel was so great! She was nice and personable and made everyone feel welcome. Her inside knowledge of the area made the tour much more fun and interesting. The tour takes you through a decent bit of the city, so wear walking shoes. Going on the tour is a great introduction to Old San Juan, if you’ve never been. My husband and I made a mental note of places we’d like to explore further the next day. Itzel kept us all entertained, and she was able to offer recommendations on places to eat afterwards. And trust me, you will be hungry! We made three drink stops along the way. Learned A LOT about the history of rum and how it is produced which was very cool and anyone who likes learning will appreciate this part of the tour. The rum and drinks were delicious and a great way to cool off on a hot day. The small group size is also a selling point. We never felt rushed and it allowed for a bit of interaction among the people on the tour. 10/10 recommend. You won’t be disappointed.
