Let me start off by saying that my tour guide was wonderful!! She had amazing energy, passion, knowledge, and heart. It's obvious that she loves her job! My review is in NO WAY a reflection on her! The reason I'm disappointed by my experience is that the description paints this beautiful picture of hiking in the rainforest, seeing a waterfall, then laying on this gorgeous beach after grabbing lunch at our choice of one of many authentic Puerto Rican eateries. We ended up spending the bulk of our 6hr tour on the bus picking everyone up and then sitting in traffic. We also spent an HOUR at the El Yunque visitor center!!....before walking down to a dried-up river bed. No Waterfall in sight. Then we sat in traffic for almost an hour to get to Luquillo where we were dropped off for 90min before we were picked up to be taken back "home." The people in Luquillo were nice but the entire place was overflowing with trash - Everywhere. The public bathrooms were closed off because the trash was overflowing and most of the restaurants were closed for lunch (or for the day?!?) by the time we got there at 2:30p. Leaving only a few nicer sit-down options. So eat or sit on the beach because you don't have time for both. We asked for a later pickup time but due to other tours that wasn't an option. Since we were way outside of San Juan, we couldn't guarantee an Uber pick-up if we chose to stay later either. The entire excursion was just way oversold on the website and I wish I had picked something else.

Jerry was very patient as he should have been being that the pictures to this tour are false advertisement. This is more of a nature walk, magic school bus, history lesson type of feel. No water slides or waterfalls, so do not expect it. Most of the tour you are looking out the window from the bus. You get about 30 min to swim in El yunque and then your done. I was very disappointed with this tour, if you are looking to explore El yunque book another tour cause this was not it. I actually left the tour from sheer disappointment. Thanks but no thanks.

Hi Angelica, This is, indeed, a Nature Walk within the El Yunque National Forest Reserve. The history lesson is a plus; the drive from San Juan takes about 40 minutes, and we prefer to spend that time sharing our heritage rather than listening to music. We don't have any photographs of waterslides on this tour, however you can find this type of tour advertised on VIATOR, the same booking platform where we advertise our Nature Walk. Nature interpretation is not for everybody. Thank You Alexander

The tour was just what i was looking for.. i wanted a tour were we didnt do so much hiking it was perfect for us...my son had a great time at the river swimming.. the tour guide was awesome gave us a little history of our Island.. both the driver and tour guide were friendly and knowledgeable.

Extremely enjoyable experience. I was hoping to walk more along the river to see more of the vegetation of the rainforest. The river spot to swim, the water was very cool and refreshing. I am happy our tour guide was more concerned about everyone’s safety regardless if you’re an excellent swimmer compared to another group at the river site. I enjoyed listening to the history and learning such great details of Puerto Rican history. I am most definitely interested in learning more about this. I high recommend anyone who enjoys swimming but do not expect a hiking trek.

Lisa was an excellent tour guide! and Ingrid was a wonderful driver. Lisa gave so much history about Puerto Rico. The walk to the river was definitely a walk, not a hike, so if you are wanting to be deep in the rainforest this tour may not be for you. The trail took us to a beautiful river, that had a 15-foot platform to jump from and a rope swing. You will definitely be proud of yourself if you do the jump. After an hour of swimming in the river, we went to Luquillo beach where there was a strip of 60+ shops and restaurants. We had 2 hours which was perfect to get a bite to eat, and enjoy the beautiful beach. Overall, it was an amazing day, and the highlight pf our trip.

The tour is exactly what you want if you're not a hiker, nature-lover type of person like me...lol! It gives you a touch of the rainforest without being too overwhelming. Martin the tour guide was extremely knowledgeable about Puerto Rocan culture and history, his english was very good for non-spanish speakers and overall he was just AWESOME! We travel with a cool group and the day was absolutely perfect. Luquillo beach is BEAUTIFUL, be sure to bring cash to rent umbrella and chairs becuse there's little shade. Would HIGHLY recommend this tour!

This excursion was great! Our tour guide Lisa aka Grandma Lisa and our driver Rafael aka my birthday twin were the BEST! The hike was not long but be aware that your shoes probably will get muddy so wear shoes that you wouldn’t mind getting dirty. Also the trail has a lot of rocks and they can be slippery (it’s in a rain forest) so watch your step. The stream in the rain forest is cool and refreshing. Also, when you get to the beach you will have around 2 hours there. If you want to do do anything like jet skiing I would advise you to head str8 for the beach so that you can get it in immediately then get something to eat or buy souvenirs. All in all this was a really enjoyable trip and I would do it again!

Louie our tour guide was great & very familiar with PR & the rainforest! This tour(1 hour)consisted of a small walk to the river where we had the opportunity to jump from a rocky cliff and/or rope swing into the waters. We also got a chance to stop at a local fruit/food stand before being dropped off at Laquillo Beach. There are many kiosks at the beach(2hrs) for food, drinks, ski jets & etc.

The El Yunque rainforest excursion is something you must do!

This was a nice trip. We really enjoyed our guide. He was friendly and knowledgeable. The time allotted for the hike was a decent amount and getting to jump off of the rocks into the water was very refreshing. It was also my first time swinging from a rope into water. We really didn’t spend much time at the beach but that was ok. We were able to sit down and eat a good lunch. Also did a a little shopping. It was a very enjoyable day and would recommend it to friends. We are waiting though for pictures that our guide took with his GoPro. Any help with getting a link to those pictures would be great!!
