Disappointing

Very very disappointing. Pleasant guide but did not follow through on advice. Tour was a very basic standard tour standing the majority of time and minimal eating experience. We were charged for a deluxe tour at a high price but it wasn’t even worth quarter that price. We have done this tour before which was excellent so we knew the difference

This small group tour is a ‘Must Do’ when in San Sebastián. It is fantastic, and especially if you get our tour guide, Begonia. She was excellent, so much knowledge and information is passed on throughout the 3 hour tour of some of the best Pintxos bars. We had a ball, loved the night and especially our guide, Begonia.

It was an absolute blast, Hector took us the the best spots for all the local pintxos and knew fun bits of history about some of the places, you could also tell the places we were taken to weren't tourist traps and were authentic. The food was superb and the drinks were spectacular. Ending with the best cheesecake I've ever had. I thoroughly recommend this tour!

With Asier as our guide, we had a fantastic evening learning about and enjoying Basque Pintxos; the food, wine, cider, culture, and history—and fun with a great small group (8) of fellow tourists. Asier was born and raised in San Sebastián, and shares insights only a local would know. The pride he shows in the Basque culture and his home town was evident and entertaining. We went to 6 cafes or bars to experience the real Pintxos experience; one of which has a Michelin star. No tourist traps on this tour; every place we went was authentic and popular with both locals and visitors. The quality of the food was amazing, and the amount of food was more than enough for a full dinner. And we had great local wine and cider, with generous pours, paired with each of our tastings. My wife and I took this tour on the last day of our trip to beautiful San Sebastián but I recommend you go on your first day, because you will learn where to return to dine your following days, and where to get the best Pintxos, including recommendations from Asier on places we didn’t visit. If you love food, wine, and experiencing a different and fascinating culture and traditions guided by a local expert, this is the tour for you!

What a great experience. We learned so much about the local food and wine that we could never have figured out on our own and we’re taken places we would not have know to chose. Hector was a wealth of information and loves what he does. We enjoyed the small group and a chance to chat while enjoying the experience. I think this is a must introduction to the foodie experience in San Sebastián.

This was a FANTASTIC tour. This was my absolute favourite tour during my visit to San Sebastián. Hector was such an amazing host who spoke with such passion about his city and the delicious food. We also had the best group and really connected. The food was a great mix and portions were just right. I was extremely impressed with this tour, the food, our guide, and all the historical and cultural info that came along with it. As a foodie myself, I was hesitant it wouldn’t feel authentic or high quality but all the places we visited were some of the best (after doing some research), everything tasted amazing and there was great variety. So much food too, I was beyond satisfied! Plus our guide was knowledgeable, relaxed, spoke perfect English, and offered additional insights on where to eat and what to do in the city - we felt lucky to have him show us his hometown and these amazing culinary delights!!
