Should’ve been called the Malibu history tour

OK, so we already wrote a review the very day of the tour at the conclusion of the tour after Dave asked us to write a five star review, and he placed barcodes on the back of the seats to scan and write the review which we did and since then we’ve received no less than 15 automated request to review the tour that we already reviewed. It’s extremely annoying so here’s the review when we first arrived. Dave said this is your tour it’s all about you, so tell me what you really want to do and see. We expressed an interest to see homes in architecture and another couple expressed an interest to see the University. that made no impact were fact on the tour at all as Dave conducted a tour I’m sure as he always does focusing exclusively on exactly what he wanted to do. No big deal, but there was no mention of architecture except perhaps for one house, which look like an eagle at one in the ward, but that was already part of his routine . Overall, it was a good tour, but he spent 25 minutes on the side of a highway with traffic passing by with the echoing of noise, bouncing off of the adjacent wall and street while he discussed the history of Malibu. He certainly could’ve pulled into a lot with no noise so that we could be comfortable and listen attentively to his story. I’d say that 10 to 15% of the tour was actually devoted to homes but pretty much just flying by them on the highway or side roads. he runs a very strict schedule and you can tell he becomes a bit anxious when you are 1 to 2 minutes beyond the allotted time at each stop. The wait at the restroom at Starbucks which by the way was filthy was over 20 minutes just to get to the single bathroom and likewise at the lunch stop at the Malibu pier. Nonetheless for history buffs it was an interesting tour, but I’m sure he lost the attention of most of the people on the tour. We really had enough of having to see and read their pop-ups two times a day every day about writing a review which we already did. this is the more thorough and pointed review. Thanks to their badgering. I apologize for typos, but I’m not gonna take the time to edit my dictation.

David was incredible. The tour was not prepackaged but very intimate - there was three of us. Bus was not new and sleek but perfect fit for Malibu. Highly recommend.

It was our first time visiting Malibu, 5.5 hours tour with David. We had so much fun yesterday such a great day and experience, it was very nice tour, specially David he took us to Mulibu stars Homes, beach tour and downtown of Mulibu stopped for break and lunch time that was very nice of him! Wow... what can I say other than YOU NEED TO DO THIS TOUR!!! It's literally amazing from start to finish! David our tour guide was so passionate he knew so much about the history of Miami, its incredibly interesting and fascinating! David also only shows current homes of celebrities, not previous ones which we loved! Nothing more annoying than hearing how a celebrity used to live in that house 10 years ago! We got to go up and see 360° view of Miami at point Dume! So many wonderful places to see and we had lots of stop offs! Even down to the end when we were on our way back David had put together a great playlist all referencing california, miami etc! We had the most wonderful day in Miami and cannot be thankful for David for showing us this beautiful place!!

David is a PHENOMENAL tour guide. We did the Hollywood tour and the Celebrity Houses tour, but this Malibu tour was by far the absolute best tour from our trip. David's knowledge of Malibu is impressive to say the least. David went above and beyond for us during the tour. We had our 14 month old baby with us and David made it easy for us during the entire journey. By the end of the tour, David felt like a true friend, not a tour guide. Again, this is the BEST TOUR TRIP IN L.A. The Malibu tour with David. He is genuine and real, and his storytelling, patience, kind spirit throughout the tour made the tour the BEST!!!

Seeing the celebrity homes was cool. Learned a lot about the history of Malibu. Our guide, David, was very well informed and entertaining. I though going through the Woolsey fire burn area was very interesting. My daughters loved the tour. Seeing Lady Gaga’s home and how close it is to everything was surprising.

This is a well prepared tour that matches its description of beautiful beaches and viewing the Malibu homes of stars and area’s history.. It is truely David’s tour. He developed it and well researched it and presents it in an enthusiastic and informative way. We were able to hear his narrative well with his mic, seats are roomy and he passes out blankets just in case it gets too cool . We had our lunch at John’s garden and the salads were delicious and huge. Could share easily if you want a lite meal. As many people in the area David came to be a movie star and while waiting for his big break into stardom he shines as a star of the tour. He even took the time while we had our break to backtrack and pick up my husband’s hat that had blown off in the wind.
