What To Expect

This leisurely walking food tour begins at a central location in Savannah. After a meet and greet with your guide, its time for a flavorful and fun adventure.

Visit several specialty food stores and restaurants in the area to sample the fresh flavors of the local cuisine. Taste things such as shrimp and grits, pork belly donut sliders, and one-of-a-kind honey. Please note that tastings are subject to change.

Some of the establishments that may be included on the tour are Savannah Bee Company, Molly MacPherson's Scottish Pub, and Grill, 22 Square Restaurant, and Prohibition

This tour concludes near the City Market, the commercial and social center of historic Savannah since the early 1700s. Explore this 4-block area of restored warehouses and store fronts adjacent to Ellis Square, perfect for shopping, dining or just relaxing the rest of the day away.

We had Brenden as our tour guide and we were SO glad that we did! Not only was he professional and informative, he was entertaining and engaging! Most tours feel like a dialogue that the guide has to get through, but Brenden made it interactive the whole time and encouraged feedback throughout the tour! Not only did Brenden make the experience enjoyable, the food selected for the tour was AMAZING! Every single stop we wanted to stay at and have a full meal! We have already gone back to one of the restaurants and would easily go back to any of the others! The tour also enabled us to get a layout of downtown better, and Brenden pointed out many other options for everyone to try. This experience is highly recommended and we also recommend doing it at the beginning of your visit to Savannah to get a lay of the land and get ideas of where to eat in town! SUCH a wonderful experience!

Culinary & Cultural Food Tour

Our tour guide, Joshua, was excellent! He was very knowledgeable about Savannah's food and history, and joked and laughed with all of the foodies on the tour. As far as the food, the sausage roll at The Little Crown was the only food that was hot. The Pork Slider, She Crab Soup, Chicken Empanadas were all lukewarm. The portions of the meals at Moon River Brewing Co. were inconsistent. I had a half dozen beans on my plate and my sister had half a plateful! I would recommend this tour to a first time visitor.

This was an interesting culinary tour; we visited six places and to be honest, I didn't expect such an ethnic diversity with the choices of food. Anne was interesting and gave us a lot of information. The highlight was the pork belly donut (we are still talking about it days after) with the honey tasting coming a very close second! You must try a mojito if you are taken to that hidden gem. Portions are fairly small so be prepared for that! Met some interesting people as well...you won't be disappointed with this tour!

Bailey was awesome! The tour was informative and she made it really fun. We loved all the stops, but the she-crab soup at Rhett was a stand-out. We really liked walking through the new Marriott at Plant Riverside. We’d been to Savannah several times but had not seen that area. The tour is definitely great for Savannah first timers and old-timers alike.

I loved the tour. It was fun to eat and get some history of Savannah. Kathy, a former teacher, was a very good guide. She kept the tour moving at a good pace. If you do not eat pork, you may miss two food samples.

Brenden was a fantastic tour guide and made our experience 10x better! The tour itself was knowledgeable, fun, and tasty as we sampled from 6 unique spots. Each dish is very much relevant to Savannah’s history and current food scene (plus they all tasted sooo good)! Def get a mojito at the second to last stop. The tour gave us a great amount of sitting/air conditioning breaks as well. Huge thank you to our tour guide who went the extra mile in making the tour awesome!!

This was a fantastic tour and, even beyond the food experience, added so much to our appreciation and knowledge of the history and culture of the local area. Brenden is the king of tour guides. He was equal parts exposition and performance. It was a feel-good experience in great part because of him. The good vibes among us tour guests emanated from him.
