Interesting & Informative! So many fun facts!

We had a great tour given by Keith Blake! He was so knowledgeable about all things Savannah and Civil War. We loved learning about the Cotton Exchange and seeing the large container ship pass through. The coolest thing Keith showed us was the hand-drawn map on the wall in Vic’s On The River. Such a great story behind it, and Keith is a wonderful storyteller!

Really enjoyed this tour! Highly recommend!

The Savannah Civil War History Walking Tour was a great tour that gave insight into the part Savannah played in the Civil War. Our guide, Pierce M. did a tremendous job of bringing the history of Savannah and the War to life. He was extremely knowledgeable on the subject, but not overly technical. He encouraged and answered all questions with complete understanding of subject and shared pieces of history from the many years he and his ancestors had lived in Savannah. This tour is for those wanting a glimpse into the history of Savannah and what made it into the city it is today.

We were very pleased with our tour! Keith is great and extremely knowledgeable. He took his time and answered all our questions. Because we had a very small group, he was even able to show us a few things that you wouldn’t normally see on other tours. Our favorite was the charcoal drawing hidden behind plaster! Our tour ended up being a one on one with Keith, which was fantastic! We walked through several squares, discussed details that led up to the Civil War events in Savannah, and even got to see a cool history charcoal drawing done by Union Officers. Keith was engaging and clearly knew his material, even going so far as to make several book recommendations. 100% recommended!
