      Laid back History of Savannah
      Reita_F, Aug 2023
Ken Rimes was a fabulous, fashionable guide. We were the only family registered for the tour so we ended up with a private tour. Our guide added to the whimsy by dressing the part of southern gentleman in light linen suit and straw hat. He provided lots of details on Savannah’s history from its origins to current affairs as we asked questions. On our tour day, we had intermittent rain and lots of heat. As an extra service he had large umbrellas available to us if we needed and stopped at locations to acquire water.

Reita, we're all so tickled to know that your time out with guide Ken Rimes was exactly what its designed or intended to be under The Wandering Historians brand concept and truly appreciate your blessing us with such a descriptive and telling review! I know Ken feels very touched by it also and we just want to thank you for keeping us motivated and rewarded in our passions!
      You must do this
      Candith_R, Jul 2023
The knowledge that Ken has was remarkable, very good tour, we loved it. Savannah is beautiful, Jones St was my favorite
      Response from Host, Jul 2023
Candith, we're all truly grateful for your love for the tour, Jones Street and naturally, your guide, Ken Rimes who is well regarded! He sends his excitement for your praise just so you know! Jones Street is perhaps the most communal and indictive of everything that we consider, Savannah , and it was wonderful to get to live on it myself for 14 years!
Small group, covered a lot of ground
      natalie_l, Jul 2023
Lauren was a great guide. Very informative. Spoke nice and loud for everyone to hear. She had an iPad with her to show us additional relevant photos. This tour was a small group, just the four of us plus two other people -- perfect size. We covered a lot of ground but didn't feel like it was a ton of walking, the city is pretty compact. Really fun and interesting stories/ history. Recommend.
      Response from Host, Jul 2023
Natalie, thank you for not only such a complimentary review but one layered with helpful information for others searching for excursions differing from the many as a stand out. It's our honor and glad that your guide Lauren was so satisfying to the experience. She's the first guide to tackle all of the tours we offer and is a true history buff as you discovered. She sends her regards and is grateful for your high praise of her ability!

Ken was an excellent tour guide! Very knowledgeable about the history of Georgia and the founders. The tour was very well paced and we were able to sit and relax during the tour. Ken also an excellent singing voice and entertain us with a couple songs.
Awesome Walking Tour of Historic Savannah!
      June_M, Jun 2023
This was a very informative tour about the City of Savannah's history. Our guide was interesting and entertaining. The tour was well worth the time and money!
      Response from Host, Jun 2023
June, we're so beyond grateful for your taking some extra time to share your words about time in The Historic District with guide, Ken Rimes! He's really the proof in the pudding when it comes to excellence so thank you for the validation naturally! Means a lot that you were our clients and that you're helping others to make their history tour selection far easier!
A great walk around the city
      KarenL_P, Jun 2023
Shannon communicated days before the tour so we well prepared. Our guide, Lauren, was fabulous! She took the weather into account; suggesting, making changes and going out of her way so that we weren't walking in the rain. She told us the true history, not the "stories" typically prepared for tourists. She pointed out highlights as well as areas that might be missed on our own. Walking with her was a true pleasure and I highly recommend this tour and the company.
      Response from Host, Jun 2023
Karen, it was my pleasure and Lauren's to show you the best side of local hospitality in all ways and we're so indebted to you for taking a moment to write some appreciative and helpful words for others! It's important that people know we've been working in this vineyard we call Savannah for 32 years and not just a pop-up experience with no true depth for what this type of outing should be! We're honored to do it for Savannah and for great clients like you! Come see us again!
      Excellent tour. Very informative.
      Aaron_R, Jun 2023
Our tour guide Kevin was very informative throughout our tour. Learned a lot about the local history of the area. Recommend this tour to all.
      Response from Host, Jun 2023
Hi Aaron, truly appreciate you taking some time to comment on your experience with guide, Ken Rimes, he accepts Kevin for the right clients, hah, but we're all grateful for your participation and that it turned out to be such a positive experience for your party! It keeps us all motivated for sure! I've already shared your compliments with Ken and he returns his gratitude!
      Great Tour

Lauren was an excellent tour guide. She has great knowledge of the history of the city and also a wonderful sense of humor
      History must do
      Kathleen_D, May 2023
Was a very informative tour. We covered many blocks of historic savannah. Lauren was a great guide. Definitely would recommend.
      Response from Host, May 2023
Kathleen, I'm so pleased to receive your review and have sent it along to Lauren who I know will be just as grateful for it! We appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts with others seeking to do something on a smaller, more intimate level here in Savannah! More to come! You'll have to try Lauren's God's Acre, Bonaventure tours or the Laurel Grove Cemetery she conducts as they're positively amazing!
      This is a great...
      Heidi_N, May 2023
This is a great introduction to the history and architecture of Savannah. Had a great time learning from our guide Lauren. Highly recommend!
      Response from Host, May 2023
Heidi, we very much appreciate your enthusiastic praise and taking the time to share with others! Isn't Lauren great? She's become an all-around favorite and hope you'll give her a whirl one day in Bonaventure Cemetery, Laurel Grove Cemetery or Colonial Park Cemetery! That girl does it all! Hope the rest of your Savannah trip was just as rewarding and take good care.
      Best Walking Tour Ever!
      Frederick_B, Mar 2023
Lauren was an exceptionally knowledgeable and personable guide. She really brought what could have been just another walking tour to life through her stories and anecdotes. We were fortunate to have been the only two on our tour, so Lauren personalized our experience by showing us places (like the cathedral and a magnificent private inn) that would normally have been off limits. She customized our pickup and drop off spots to suit our location and schedule and easily adapted to our pace. We couldn’t have asked for a better way to experience Savannah in the limited time we had. Thank you, Lauren!
