What To Expect

This is Seattle’s original food and cultural tour of Pike Place Market. It’s a place to meet the farmers, butchers, bakers, winemakers and all those who bring their bounty to this nine-acre market day in and day out.

The market also features one of the largest craft markets in the country, featuring all locally made, handcrafted goods. There are over 225 small, independent businesses and a diverse selection of restaurants here.

Also included on this tour is a repeat visitor card, good for a 10% discount at all of the locations where you will have tastings, valid for up to 1 week after the tour. By the end of the Pike Place Market Food and Cultural Walking Tour, you will not only have eaten an array of deliciously famous foods, but you will also have picked up a few buying tips, cooking ideas and handy market knowledge.

Woody was a great guide and shared so much more about Seattle and Pike Place Market than simply telling us about the good. I enjoyed all the different stops for tastings and interesting facts. I did not expect the fish market to be one of the spots where we stopped for a sample of salmon. Delicious! All the food was. Great tour.

Bob was our guide. He was ok, but didn't quite offer much in the way of history..just a bit here and there. He was offering us hand sanitizer every stop. He had a bad habit of talking with his hands, and almost hit at least 4 people as they were passing by. He didn't like to be interrupted with questions or comments..

Woody our tour guide was EXCEPTIONAL! He was very knowledgeable of the city, told us all the hidden secrets, he was friendly, accommodating and funny too. This was our first tour on our vacation. It was a great start as I now know which restaurants I want to go to. BOOK THIS TOUR! It was filled with lots of sample foods from all the restaurants….more food than I expected! Maleah was our tour guide for the tasting tour. It ended up just being our family and she did a wonderful job engaging our girls. There were so many delightful surprises along the tour. We were first-time Seattle visitors and, of course, wanted to visit the Public Market. But with so many vendors it was daunting. Imogen (our guide) made it a perfect tour! We stopped at a few snack and food vendors, saw the great Pike's Place fish throwers, and heard the history of the market with details we did not know! I would 10 out of 10 recommend the guided tour! Made the visit so much more enjoyable!

Bob was an excellent guide. He is very knowledgeable and obviously loves Pike Place. It would have been very entertaining to spend many more hours with him. There were several in our group that were difficult ( needed a walker, negative comments. Didn't like the food, etc) He was very patient with them and made sure they were comfortable. My husband ans I enjoyed the tour very much

Bob was our tour guide. He was very thoughtful. He not only ensured we had hand sanitizer and napkins, he also ensured the food my wife received was gluten free. She is very sensitive and will get sick if she has gluten. He was very careful and offered alternatives
