What To Expect

At 14,410 feet above sea level, beautiful and majestic Mt Rainier is an icon in the Washington landscape—an active volcano and the most glaciated peak in the United States, creating six major rivers.

This day trip nature tour to hike and/or snowshoe around Mt. Rainier National Park begins with a Seattle hotel pickup followed by a scenic drive to the park in a luxury vehicle. Upon arrival, enjoy Seattle coffee and pastries before starting the trek along the Nisqually Vista Trail. Be on the lookout for wildlife wandering around the mountain at any time.

This all-day Mt Rainier tour includes frequent stops to take pictures and enjoy light snacks. A picnic lunch of locally sourced, organic foods (grilled chicken or salmon, sandwich or wrap, with a grain or green salad and water or soda) is also provided midday.

At the end of the day, it’s back down the mountain to take a relaxing return trip to Seattle.

Our guide Brent was excellent at planning the day and bringing us hiking on the skyline trail where we saw adorable marmots, golden mantled squirrels and spectacular views of Mt Rainier and its glaciers with the beautiful tatoosh range behind us. Brent was also very knowledgeable and great at answering questions and teaching us a lot out on the hikes. Snacks and drinks were great. Loved that lunch was at great picnic sites and nicely prepared complete with tablecloth, proper plates and utensils. Highly recommend this trip!

Guide, Evan made this experience great!
SUZANNE_P, Sep 2023
Our guide, Evan, made this an extraordinary experience! He had knowledge of all things Mt Rainier. Because our group was small, the entire tour felt very intimate. Coffee and food were fabulous! Definitely recommend!
Outstanding, wonderful experience.
Louis_S, Sep 2023
Fantastic day exploring Mt Rainier. Our guide, Marjorie was great: knowledge, fun and a great chef (that part I made up). The food she brought was outstanding from the coffee to lunch, snacks and drink. We did 2 hikes: Edmonds Glacier and Silver Falls. What a wonderful experience. Can’t wait to see the group shot she took!
Best day at Mt Rainier

Evan S was absolutely amazing as our tour guide. He chose the perfect way to enjoy the mountain with 4 different hikes! His knowledge of the mountain was great and educational too. You could tell that he really loves his job which makes the experience even better. I personally would ask for him again the next time I go
Amazing bucket list trip!

Brent was informative, engaging and enjoyable to be with. I loved his extensive knowledge about mt. Rainier and the surrounding park. I learned many new things from him about the geology, ecology and biodiversity. I’m a environmental buff so it was a great experience!
Response from Host, Sep 2023
Thank you Patti for leaving such a kind review! We all love nerding out about all things environmental as it relates to the parks or the Pacific Northwest in general so I am positive Brent had a fun time discussing things with you as well! Glaciers, hikes to suit, wildflowers, waterfalls, and wildlife. Marty was a great guide and gave us a day that maximised our time and ensured we saw the best of the beautiful park. We were able to explore multiple trails and take in Paradise and the surrounding area. If you only have one day to spend outside the city, this tour is for you.
Fun and adventurous

Amazing day trip
Sara_S, Aug 2023
Jackie was great! Very knowledgeable, fun and friendly. Food was great. Views/stops were amazing. Memorable trip.
Would recommend this tour to anybody
Kelly_P, Aug 2023
Jackie was a wonderful guide and the entire tour experience was easy from pickup to drop off. Pick up was right on time and we got into the park before a line formed at the gate. Jackie picked some great trails to spend our time on while we waited for some clouds to clear at the top. Once at the top, had some time to explore as a group and individually. Jackie’s experience in the park really showed with where we stopped and how she navigated the weather. Save yourself the trouble of renting a car and getting supplies for the day and just book this tour. The meals supplied were delicious and include a seated picnic, not like a boxed lunch.
Awesome day with an awesome guide
Kathleen_L, Aug 2023
