What To Expect

Meet a driver at your Sedona hotel for pickup, then begin the 109 mile (175 km) trip to the Grand Canyon. The drive itself is a highlight, following a route through the scenic Oak Creek Canyon to views of the San Francisco Peaks, a volcanic mountain range that towers over the surrounding landscape.

You’ll see the otherworldly rock formations of the Painted Desert, and take a break at the Cameron Trading Post, where you can browse handicrafts and artwork made by local members of the Zuni, Hopi, and Navajo tribes.

When you arrive at Grand Canyon National Park, you’ll have views down into the Little Colorado River Gorge, and pause at a series of overlooks for views into the canyon. See the Desert View Watchtower that looms at the edge of the South Rim, get the most expansive views on the South Rim from Lipan Point, then visit Yavapai Point, where a 600-foot (183-meter) drop exposes layers of the Grand Canyon’s 1.8 billion-year-old rocks.

Finish your time at the South Rim with dinner at one of the national park lodges, then begin the return trip to Sedona, where this tour concludes with drop-off at your hotel.

Our guide, Steve, was awesome! He was fun and extremely knowledgeable about the area. The best thing about Steve was he adjusted the trip to meet the feel of our group. We stopped at 5-6 different spots to get different views of the canyon. He knew the best place to see the sunset for the time of year. He encouraged each couple (there were 4 couples on our tour) to find “your spot” for watching the sunset. He helped us find a little ledge to sit out on and even took a picture of us from afar (see photo of the canyon with our silhouette on the far right). The best part of the sunset wasn’t watching the Sun (or ball as Steve called it) go down. The best part was looking where the sun was still shining on the canyon and seeing the colors change. We highly recommend this tour!

Brad was a great guide and had lots of information to share with us! The Grand Canyon tour was great with a few stops along the way. Dinner was delicious at a tavern place. The sunset was very memorable and we found a great spot to watch it!

It is hard to find words to describe how fabulous our guide, Brad, made this tour!! His knowledge of the Grand Cannon, and basically everything was amazing! But the other thing was his consideration of the comfort of the passengers on the tour. This was an experience that we will never forget!!! Highly recommend!!!

Great tour. Brad was our guide and he was excellent. His knowledge of area history, geology and archeaology was superb. We were in a comfortable van with unrestricted views. Brad made sure we stopped as often as needed and answerex any questions we had. He made sure everyone on the tour was able to enjoy it regardless if their mobility. There are no words to describe the The Grand Canyon. It was truly breath taking and something everyone should experience in person if possible. Sunset was beautiful. Overall we were thrilled with this experience.

Amazing!! I loved visiting the Grand Canyon on this tour!!! Brad was an outstanding tour guide. Funny, so knowledgeable about the land, Native American history and passionate about the information he shared with us. Brad made sure we were all taken well care of, including picture-taking and blankets for the cold weather!! Dinner was delicious!!! The Elk Melt was so yummy!!! It was such a great group. We had plenty of rest breaks, the stops and time on our own were really appreciated. There were a few clouds so the sunset was not the best but still it was beautiful. Loved this tour and I highly recommend Brad as a tour guide!!!

We had a wonderful time , our only complaint was how dinner was taken care of , we would have preferred to have eaten in a restaurant instead of in the van and our food was cold , but other than that we were taken care of
