We will meet 10 min, prior to launch time. You will leave your vehicle there. The parking space is our end zone we will kayak all the way back down to your car.

Cancellation Policy

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.

For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.

Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.

The kayak trip that never happened

We were really looking forward to this, unfortunately it didn’t happen. We arrived at a private residence the morning of only to find that no one was there to meet us. After many failed attempts to reach the tour guides via the text option through the Viator app, I found a page that had a phone number. When I called the guy (who never identified himself) sounded confused - said “Aw man didn’t you cancel yesterday?” No. We did not. We still had an active trip through Viator. He claimed we emailed him the day before canceling. He said he and his friend were at the lake and couldn’t be there. He claimed it must have been an issue with Viator. The trip remained active until an hour later when I received notification that the host cancelled the trip. Thankfully I was fully reimbursed. I would not recommend booking with this group until they improve their communication with customers.

I was with my husband and 16 year old daughter and we all had a great time. Caleb grew up on the river and knows it very well. It was record temperatures in Sedona when we went but the water was cool and the shade from the trees made a big difference. I am not what anyone would consider athletic and it was an easy paddle down river for me. One thing to note, the place where you park your car is not a business with a parking lot. It looks more residential so we were afraid we were in the wrong place at first. Just a heads up.

We had a great time with Caleb private guided tour! The weather was perfect and river water was so clear! And we were so lucky to have Caleb as our guide! He took such great lengths to make sure we were safe and felt comfortable with our ride! We couldn’t have asked for a better guide! He is like an encyclopedia expert! He knows every inch of the river, branches, animals and surroundings and also Cottowod itself! There is nothing he doesn’t know ! Some of the river was so tranquil and beautiful and some very exciting with mini rapid currents! It’s a 5 star++ for us! We highly recommend it! We will be back for rides i different seasons with Caleb! Because he simply is the best!

Shallow water for a fat man but a really piece full and scenic trip. Guide was knowledgeable and friendly. Wish I would have done the fishing part too. Would love to go for a longer trip.

This was an awesome private guided kayaking tour with Caleb. It was just the two of us and Caleb the guide. I never used a kayak before and Caleb was so helpful showing me how to use the kayak. The scenery on the river was beautiful. We want to kayak again. I highly recommend this private kayaking tour with Caleb. Thank you Caleb for a wonderful time kayaking.

Great experience! Guide is friendly. You can definitely tell Caleb (the guide) knows this River like the back of his hand. Every rock, stick, and depth of each section. Recommend for anyone even with kids. We had some prior experience so we got through it quicker but no experience is necessary as he knows how to guide you! Fun fact: no snakes!

Caleb was super friendly and helpful with my kids. He towed my 10 year old that was apprehensive about kayaking. My husband and other 13 year old daughter and I had a relaxing time while learning how to maneuver. This is easy enough for a beginner kayaker.
