A different kind of Sedona experience

This night sky story tour with Chad was quite amazing. In the cold and breezy Sedona night, he was quite prepared with comfortable chairs, blankets and hand warmers. The greek stories and their relation the names and structure of the constellations were quite fun. Would recommend tour to adults and families with children. It gets quite nippy at night, so warm clothing needed.

And yes, Sedona is at 4500 ft elevation so it gets cold here at night generally from November through April. January and February are the coldest. Very cool. Chad was prepared with blankets and hand warmers for the cool night to make us comfortable for some legit astronomy + history + mythology. Connected the Constellations to Greek and indigenous mythology then layered in some core astronomical realities that put our planet into galactic perspective. It was awesome.

The Night Sky Tour was great and I highly recommend it to anybody looking to take full advantage of the brilliant stargazing Sedona has to offer. Chad (the guide) was wonderful, with as much genuine passion and enthusiasm as he had knowledge of the sky. Not to mention, setting us all up with chairs, blankets, hand warmers, and flashlights! Just another of the many terrific experiences I had throughout my first trip to Sedona.

This was an interesting experience. It was pretty cold, but the guide supplied blankets and popcorn. We heard some cool stories, local history, and geology facts. The stars weren't as bright as they could have been since there was a full moon, but they were a lot brighter than I can see at home.

This experience was so much fun! We learned a lot, laughed a bit, someone sang a little, and then we stared at the night sky while we got to contemplate our place in the universe and hear from ancient cultures. Chad was knowledgeable and funny and we just really enjoyed it! We kept talking throughout the whole next day about everything that was built into the experience. Amazing! Dress warm, the desert gets cold at night. Who knew?
