What To Expect

This tour covers a lot of ground in and around Grand Canyon National Park, so its an early morning pickup from your Flagstaff or Sedona hotel to kick off your day of travel via mini-coach.

Wupatki National Monument is your first major stop. As your guide explains, the ancient Native American civilization of Sinagua lived here for 400 years. Then ancient desert dwellers witnessed the dramatic eruption of Sunset Crater Volcano nearly a millennium ago, which destroyed their homes and forced them out. Your tour includes a visit to the lava fields at Sunset Crater Volcano National Monument.

Take a break from touring with a stop for lunch at the historic Cameron Trading Post. The view of the Little Colorado River Gorge from the deck here is especially striking.

After lunch, re-board your mini-coach to head into the Grand Canyon for an afternoon of exploring this magnificent natural wonder. Stop at lookout points along the canyon's East Rim and South Room for dramatic vistas of gorges below. There's time at leisure for exploring on your own at your own pace.

Throughout the entire day, whether you're exploring by foot or on the mini-coach, your expert guide teaches you about the history, archaeology, geology, and flora and fauna of the Grand Canyon and the surrounding area.

Loved the informative commentary on the places we visited. Meant to tip when dropped off but left the tip over the phone when I returned. Thank you so much!
Hole-y Scott!
Amy_D, Mar 2023
The driver/tour guide, Scott, was a wealth of knowledge about the geology, anthropology and history of the Wupatki people and their ruins as well as the entire terrain in and surrounding the Grand Canyon area. He was also a great driver navigating lots of twists and turns on narrow roads - even through some snow! Scott took our lunch orders at the beginning of the trip so our meal would be ready quickly when we arrived at the Cameron Trading Post which was very thoughtful! We even had a table reserved for us. Lunch was good - the fried bread on the Navajo tacos was yummy. The Grand Canyon itself was breath-taking! Pictures do not do it justice! It’s something you must do in person. Scott took us to a variety of viewing points - all beautiful. Scott offered several opportunities for pit stops along the way. Group included families and singles - everyone was pleasant and considerate. Great use of time management by Scott who gave us specific time frames to be back after short excursions and everyone on the tour was surprisingly timely!
Great tour with Scott

Scott was great - he did a wonderful job of keeping us all entertained, on schedule and was flexible to our interests. There were some road closures due to weather and we were grateful that Scott was managing all of that for us
Great way to see the best in AZ

A Most Memorable Grand Canyon Tour from Sedona
June_F, Mar 2023
This Grand Canyon tour was the highlight of our trip to Arizona! We have to give that credit to our excellent tour guide, JR. Ralston! A lifelong resident of Sedona, he is very knowledgeable about the Grand Canyon and Sedona facts, history, and local happenings. The natural diversity of the landscape is amazing! We really enjoyed the stop at the National Forest with its black volcanic rock and black sand, the Wupatki National Monument [Hopi ancient ruins], Cameron Indian Trading Post with its excellent food and beautiful historic dining room, and the Desert View Watchtower at Grand Canyon National Park with interior wall paintings and 360 degree views of the Canyon. To make our tour more complete we saw a herd of elk on the way back to Sedona! It was a long day but really worthwhile. So glad we took this tour!
Must see in northern Arizona

Awesome, just awesome. Our guide, Yantzi, showed us everything there’s to see! Very impressed with the volcanoes, Puebloan structures and, of course, Grand Canyon! One of the best trips we ever took.
Highly recommend.

Great guide in Yancy. Very courteous and knowledgeable. Nice guy to know. Van was easily accessible and clean.
Wonderful experience!

Scott was a fantastic tour guide…he is very knowledgeable, provided great information throughout the tour, he offered to take pictures of the families at the different spots and he was overall just a pleasure to spend the day with. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because one family on the trip didn’t plan their day very well, and we had to skip stopping at the Grand Canyon visitor’s center in order to get them home. Families booking this trip should expect to be on the tour for 11 hours as advertised, and not cause the trip to be cut short for others who also paid for the full day experience. Again, Scott was awesome and the tour was wonderful…they take you to amazing spots at the Grand Canyon (this place is truly breathtaking), and the volcano and Navajo reservation stops were also very cool. Being cut a bit short at the end of our tour because of one family is the only reason I’m not giving 5 stars…the tour company shouldn’t have to cater to people who don’t plan properly.

We truly enjoyed the extra stop at the Wupatki National Monument. Our tour guide, Ezra, was very knowledgeable and we appreciated him sharing the many facts with us along the way.
Beautiful scenery, guide not needed
Anthony_D, Mar 2023
Beautiful ares and sights. The service and guide was fine. Vehicle was fine. I think main issue is for the price realy doesn't justify the service.... you can diy and do the same thing for much less. If you don't want to drive then this is a good option for you just know you will not have control of schedule. Tour visits same locations the public can access.
Worth the price
