Disappointing

A little disappointing and wouldn’t recommend for anyone mildly adventurous or in shape as this will be below your potential. Unfortunately our guide’s English comprehension was poor and our tour group felt we couldn’t even ask questions bc he didn’t understand them. The “hike” is very mild and all in areas open to the public, I guess I was under the impression that the tour would add something to the experience but we would likely have gotten more out of a free day to explore the volcano on our own. The lava cave is cool but lasts about 5 minutes.

Would do it again but in better weather.

it's hard to accurately rate the experience since the tour took place in a downpour. I was actually suprised the tour still took place. when we were out exploring the crater quickly the ice hail was coming at us sideways. Due to the whether we couldn't see anything beyonf where we were standing. Our tour guide was very sweet and did what she could with our group though. I imagine in better weather it would be a perfect excursion. She did decide to erupt while we were on our tour and our guide made us feel very comfortable that we were safe.

Everything was an amazing experience: The Ox Valley, the entrance to the tube, and the visit to the craters.. However, I would like to congratulate the tour guide for his wide knowledge, his kindness, his sense of humor, and more. And also Vittorio, the driver, who was very kind to help my sister whenever she was unable to join us for some parts of the tour. Thanks to both of them. We really appreciate their role in this tour.

We loved drinking some etna wine, while standing on the etna. Looking in to and walking around the crater and the tour through the lava cave. Our guide (Leonardo) showed lots of pictures and films. He shot them himself. This was amazing!

Good into to Etna

Small English speaking group, good guide. Minibus to Etna ‘base camp‘ bus station area via view points and larva tube. Coffee, then a shortish walk to an old crater, followed by lunch (not included) call. At the mercy of the weather of course. On our trip in early April there were snow flurries on the mountain and it changed quickly from warm sun to bitter wind. Only difficulty was my old ears hearing the commentary from the back of the van.

The trip was nice and the guide told us a lot of things although he had difficulties with the language. There were a lot of breaks, but it was ok due to the group abilities. Main problem is that the guide was ill and was coughing and sneezing all the time. Now I am ill too.

Glorious morning with snow capped Etna in sun. Guide was very knowledgeable, and told us a lot about the difference between the various volcanos, history etc. We also visited one of the caves. All in all, a very good trip. Be aware if you have a same day flight, as it wasn't just the morning. Value for money.
