The guide was knowledgeable and a good story teller, setting the castle in both a historical perspective and in the modern day. The wines are simply the best!

The guide was knowledgeable and a good story teller, setting the castle in both a historical perspective and in the modern day. The wines are simply the best!

    Wonderful tour!! Beautiful winery & castle. Great wine tasting, absolutely delicious wine. Landscape was breathtaking. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. We had a fantastic time.

    This is a beautiful property, with a fascinating family history and a small production of the famous Brunello did Montalcino, among others. This was my second time - I wanted to come back as I was so fascinated. The lady conducting the tour was energetic and pleasant but she didn't know almost anything about the absolutely fascinating history of the family who owns the castle. Besides telling us when the castle was built, she didn't tell us anything else about the family. She didn't even know that Dante had written about the family in his famous books. The tour was conducted in a haste and the lady was annoyed at most questions I asked about wine production or history of the family. Overall, very disappointing. If you decide to go, ask what you will be getting and whether your tour guide is familiar with the property. There is incredible history and beauty there but you'll be better off with someone who is knowledgeable so they can share it with you.

    We arrived on time and it was closed. One Italian lady gave us this information and shooed us away. I will be looking for my refund. Faye Vines
