What To Expect

Step outside your hotel and then step inside your Fiat 500 for the day. This unique guided tour allows you to see Tuscany via a vintage Fiat 500, a beloved diminutive car. With two aduls per car and only five cars, this small-group tour ensures plenty of attention from the guide.

After getting behind the wheel and following your guide caravan style, head to Monteriggioni, an impressive walled medieval village. Explore the diminutive town, taking in its ramparts from the Middle Ages and popping into small shops. Get back in the car and keep driving, cruising through the classic rolling hills of Tuscany, taking in the grape vine-clad landscape and the hills that are crowned by rustic villas.

Pull up to Poggio Amorelli, a local winery, and indulge in a hearty Tuscany three-course lunch, complete with a wine tasting, of course. Later, start the Fiat 500 again and step on the pedal to meander back to Monteriggioni again. After a brief stop, ride back to Siena to conclude your day of Italian automotive style.

Previous experience using manual gears is required. Your guide reserves the right, at his or her discretion, to terminate the participation of any driver who is unable to control the car safely without any refund.
Each car will take a maximum of 4 adults, even if we suggest to have a maximum of 3 as it is small.. Please note that if your booking includes Children remember that a maximum of 4 People are allowed in a car.

At the time of the rental a pre-authorization on credit card will be made as a guarantee for any damage, which will be canceled upon return from the tour if there has been no material damage to the vehicle.
The tour will take place also with rain. In case the weather does not allow us to attend the tour due to heavy rain or wind, clients will be offered an alternative or a full refund. In case a storm occur during the tour and the guide decide that for security reasons is better not to continue with the tour you will be escorted back to the departure place but if this happen no refund will be issued as this is beyond our control.
Please note that pick up and departure are not included in the price, a pick up service can be requested at an additional cost.

Cancellation Policy

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.

For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.

Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.

The scenery and luncheon/wine tour, and all the stops were great! Driving these windy roads is exciting and takes skill. The guide Diego was absolutely the best- considering these cars are Vintage by age only- it took a special person to deal with all the mechanical issues with grace and patience! He was kind, beyond helpful, and fun and went out of his way to make sure everyone was happy! If you like adventure and you don’t need perfection of a Collector’s car, do this! It’s a trip to remember.

Tour fantastic - pickup/drop off information incorrect

The tour was fantastic. Fabio, the tour guide, was fabulous! Everyone had a fabulous time. HOWEVER, - The information on Viator is not accurate! Under “what’s included”, they state “hotel pickup and drop off on request”. However, we had to pay $100 euros from central Siena (5 mike drive) for pick up/drop off. Didn’t get the cost until too late to cancel.

This tour is fantastic!! I booked it on my husband's birthday and it couldn't have been more memorable. Yes, the car is old and it was temperamental, but thats the fun. My husband is 6'4", so it was interesting to see him behind the wheel, but he did it. The guides were so nice and knowledgeable and made sure we stopped in all the right sports for perfect pictures. The winery tour was nice and the food was plentiful. Couldn't have asked for a better birthday experience!

This was such a cool tour in a Vintage 500 that you drove for the whole tour. The hosts were attentive and outstanding with stops for a wine tour and munch, medieval village, ice cream and pictures at the most photogenic winery. Book this tour to see Tuscany as the locals experience it.

We participated in the tour today but we’re disappointed that much of the day was wasted at the beginning waiting for late participants. Later a car broke down and it’s replacement vehicle also broke down. These other participants travelled in our car and whilst we were willing to ‘help out’ in the circumstances this was not what we expected of the tour. Later in the day at the onset of a thunderstorm our own car would not continue and we had to abandon it and wait an hour to be picked up. 3 cars on the day were in our view in a completely unsuitable condition for the purpose they were offered for. Too much time was wasted due to organisational issues at the start and through the breakdown of these 3 cars. We are classic car owners and it is very obvious to us that these cars are not in a fit state of roadworthiness and tune. We request a refund of the booking costs. We await your response.

Agree with other reviews that the book in process and getting going could have been faster. Not sure that the Fiat would have passed a roadworthy test - no working speedometer or mileage counter, very spongey brakes and were told not to worry about using seat belts. However we had an absolute ball folding ourselves into the tiny car and winding through the hills. The tour guides were great - friendly and knowledgeable and were able to converse with the group in several languages. It was an amazing experience not to be missed and the scenery was spectacular!

Our Fiat 500 tour from Siena was a lot of fun. However, when we went to collect the car we were given one with the seatbelt held together with a knot in the belt to hold the clasp on. I said I wouldn't accept that as it was not safe. After a bit of a hullabaloo they finally gave us another car. We were the only car on the tour which was good in some respects but would have been more fun with more cars and people. Our guide Sergio was excellent and showed us around the area - he was a lot of fun.

We kregen een prachtige rode fiat waarmee we de mooie toscaanse heuvels en kleine dorpjes konden verkennen. De tour was al vroeg gedaan en aangezien we niet zo veel gereden hebben, maar lang in de dorpjes gebleven hebben, vond ik de prijs aan de dure kant. Lunch was heel simpel, dus vraag me af waarvoor we zo veel geld gegeven hebben.
