Glacier hike and tiny "cave"
Natalie_B, Mar 2023
The glacier hike was enjoyable, however I would not describe the "cave" as a cave. It does not look anything like the pictures, and was very small. My husband was not able to go inside it, because it was that small.
If you're thinking about booking the tour, just do it you won't regret it

Could not have asked for a better guide than Fabian, who is professional and funny, and really elevated the tour to the next level. We went for an afternoon tour and got to see the amazing glacier in the golden hour. Fabian recommended a personal favourite spot where you could see the golden hue reflected off the icy wall surface. Amazing experience, thank you!
10/10 experience! Def recommend!

One of the best parts of my trip!! My tour guide Fredrick was so funny and encouraging, finding the meet up location and getting the gear was easy, and the hike was truly “moderate” (/easy, but satisfyingly challenging enough)
Do this!

Fantastic hike suitable for most fitness levels, although the ice cave we saw was pretty small. Adam was a wonderful and very accommodating guide. Great experience overall!
Nice experience

Very good tour, our guide Camino was excellent, was giving good explanations about everything and was very attentive. The difficulty is easy/moderate with a few difficult spots but overall we made many breaks for photos and rest. The view is amazing and the site is breathtaking,a very good experience
Amazing tour to the glaciar and ice cave
Jose_M, Oct 2022
It was an incredible experience to walk on the glaciar and visit the ice cave. The guide, Kevin, explained very well all the characteristics and features of the glaciar and always was happy to take photos and answer our questions. Very amazing tour

Crevasse vs cave
Anthony_V, Oct 2022
Our guide was the best part. He was knowledgeable, helpful and kind. More than an hour of the time was spent walking to the site and waiting to avoid other groups. There was no cave, a cavern at best. The pictures and videos on the site are very misleading. I wonder what our tour would have been had we just done the cave tour. I fully understand that the glacier is constantly moving and changing, but what they call a cave was a few carved steps in the glacier and into a crevasse that had a small area big enough for maybe 4 people that was under the ice. In the crevasse the 13 of us could barely all fit. Very disappointed in this part. If you want to do an ice cave, I suspect there is something better.
We had amazing guide...

This was an absolutely wonderful experience! Adam our guide was the best and made the experience that much more enjoyable! Would highly recommend. If this isn't on your bucket list it should be :)
Beautiful glacier and cave, fun hike.
Carter_R, Jan 2022
Pascal was an informative, entertaining, and knowledgable guide who knew the glacier and his equipment very well. The glacier was beautiful, and walking in its shiny blue surface was a great experience. The cave was also great, and even in a cloudy day we cpuld see the sunlight through the thick blue ice walls. Id recommend this to anyone who enjoys hiking and wants to see a massive glacier up close.
Great morning hike!

Great experience and guided tour
Jennifer_W, Feb 2020
Awesome hike onto the glacier and into the ice cave. Ryan, from Omaha, was a terrific guide. Also a great photographer for the group. He was very knowledgeable about the history of the glacier and the ice cave formations. And he is very friendly and overall it was a great experience. Definitely a must if you’re traveling to Iceland.
Incredible Views

One of a kind experience hiking up the glacier, we had a great tour guide that really showed us two caves, which were also beautiful. Be aware when booking though that this is 4.5 hours away from Reykjavík. We were able to quickly change our reservation to the afternoon time once we realIzed how far we would need to travel to get there.
