Great Experience, Easy/Moderate Hike
Darren_S, Jul 2022
Based upon some of the other reviews, I thought this hike was going to be a lot harder than it was. I'll admit that the first part of the hike could be seen as tough for some people, as the rocks are steep and loose, but overall, I thought the entire hike was quite easy/moderate. Older people or people who are out of shape could struggle. It was great to learn about the glacier and how things are formed. It's beautiful to see all of the beautiful ice formations and it gave me a greater appreciation for nature.
Perfect for a cool contact with the ice

Very well organised and with enough time to enjoy the ice but not getting worried or tired. You can experience the ice in front of the big crevasses. It was just nice and cool.
Great experience on the glacier
LiviuDaniel_M, Jul 2021
Very well organized with the highlights of : Seeing a death trap up close thanks to the tour guide, climbing into two crevasses and tour guide explanations regarding the glacier, Iceland and mountaineering.
Amazing experience!

We had an amazing time on the glacier with our guide David. We had never climbed a glacier before but felt safe and the surroundings are out of this world! Would definitely recommend Icelandic mountain guides for such an experience!
Great Experience
Yehoshua_S, Aug 2018
On our trip to Iceland we were very much looking forward to getting up on a glacier. We booked a tour on Viator with Icelandic Mountain Guides. It was an absolutely great experience. The service from Icelandic Mountain Guides was excellent. When my schedule required me to change my time to an earlier hike, they took care it no problem. When we showed up with too many layer of clothing they advised us to leave the extra layers with them. The guide Hanka, was fantastic. She gave personal attention to my children to really make them feel part of this unique and special experience. She was really able to bring to life with real demonstrations a lot of interesting information about the glacier. They took us on the Falljokull glacier and it was a truly beautiful and magnificent experience. I would highly recommend this to anyone. Joshua, Sarah, Goldy & David
